Source Phillymagazine March 2009. Jon's side jobs got him fired according to the former employer. For over 5 years Jon has panhandled into a life of leisure at the expense of his children. He knew what he was doing then and knows what he is doing now. The guy does not tell the truth or accept responsibility for his actions. Hope TLC and their legal team take Jon to the cleaners. Then Jon might really have to work for a living and know the value of a dollar.

  Whatever the reason the end result will hopefully be the plug being pulled on this show. The kids are older now and need their privacy; it was time to end it anyway. Oh, and they will not be homeless or in danger of not being able to make it day to day, this family will be fine. There are tons of big families out there right now doing it. Jon and Kate had careers out of the limelight before, they can do it again, and should for their kids. It’s a matter of downsizing, living on a budget, and watching spending, just like other. Plus, I am sure if they were smart they have investments that will continue to produce for them and savings for the children’s' future. Ugh, and stop the Kate vs. Jon silliness! This isn't team sports, it's a family!

FAMILY and the sanctity of it should be number 1. this show and their involvement in it has clearly destroyed their family, and TLC should have the grace to let them take a step back and heal. just because Kate is saying ok and speaking for 9 others doesn't make it right. she's not being reasonable, but rather extraordinarily selfish. since when can or should children of that age be able to discern what it is they need? if she's saying the kids are saying they want to be on the show, has she not considered that most kids will say exactly what it is they think their parents want to hear?
