  Gardening isn't a waste of time at all! I spent $20 on seeds and soil, and now I have a decent supply of corn, tomatoes, carrots, romano beans, and watermelons that I share with my neighbors... not a bad deal! Saves us all a bit of money and we have fresh food to enjoy. She's still a new First Lady, give her time. I think she's doing great so far, starting off on small, everyday projects like a garden! I don't regret voting for Obama one bit.

  What a waste of time. Gardening.... kids are taught at an early age and later in health class about eating healthy. Problem is most kids cannot afford to eat healthy due to this stinkin economy or lack of income at all and hav e to eat cheap frozen dinners, cheap fast food, etc. Will her gardening emsemble make the ciover of O Magazine? This first lady has no agenda but fame and rubbing elbows with the rich and influentials and of course the Acorn crowd.

  I am proud that she is our First Lady. And even prouder that together they are getting the message to the American people. However they get the message across isn't important, but that they take the time.

  If her vegetable garden is so great, then why did she need to take the presidential limo and her entire "entourage" of more than 30 staff members to close down city streets to find a vegetable she didn't have in her collection for dinner?????

  This disgusts me to no end. All the first ladies have done something wonderful and what is her contribution....a garden on Seseme Street. The Obama's have done nothing for this country except take advantage of the priviledges that come with being a President. Never have I seen a president or his wife be in the limelight as much as the Obama's and its not even for the sake of the United States. For once in my lifetime I would wish to see anyone elected do what they say, stand up for this country and our rights and stop being a bunch of as*es who cow tail to immigration issues, health care, ect. Deal with the AMERICAN's who are AMERICAN's. Do something that we can be proud of for once.
