Ryan O'Neal "Perfectly Happy" Being Left Out of Farrah Fawcett's Will

Tuesday – November 17, 2009 – 5:25pm

Ryan O'Neal -- who has called Farrah Fawcett the love of his life -- claims he isn't bitter about being left out of the late actress' will.

Fawcett, who died of cancer in June at age 62, left the couple's lone child together, Redmond Fawcett O'Neal, $4.5 million. She also left her ex-lover, Gregory Lawrence Lott, $100,000, as well as $500,000 to her nephew, Gregory Walls and $500,000 to her father, James Fawcett.

In a statement, O'Neal tells Usmagazine.com: "Farrah's and my relationship was based on a deep love and respect for one another and for our son Redmond.

"After discussing how her financial affairs would be handled in the event of her passing, we agreed that our son Redmond would be the primary beneficiary of her estate," he goes on. "These were Farrah's wishes and I am perfectly happy with them."

O'Neal concludes by saying that he sincerely hops that "everyone will remember and celebrate the legacy that Farrah left behind, and will now let her rest in peace."

I think Farrah knew all along how her will be done,I think her friend Alana should have been left something because she was one of her strongest supporters in her cancer and treatments.

Ryan is a fat leech who can't make a dime and was always a ugly terrible actor.. Look he flirted with his own flesh and blood at Farrahs funeral and his other kids had the sh... beat out of then daily when with him! PLEASE HE IS NO HERO! and hes a fat pig/ugly face smiles stupid and was trying to be a con man with Farrah. but she was very smart.. he still is going to make money off her with the documentary>> and where in the he... did he get any money hes always lived off of women!
  • November 18, 2009 - 8:17am Ryan is a great guy! Says:

Hop along, Ryan... hop along! LOL! Why hasn't someone at US corrected the typo already? I think Ryan was wonderful to Farrah and very supportive since her cancer diagnosis thru to her untimely demise. Lots of other men wouldn't have stayed so loyal and supportive. Ryan has plenty of money -- kudos to him for directing Farrah to give her estate to people who really needed the money.

I LIKE the word 'irregardless' and I always use it whenever the opportunity arises. Who really cares if it's not a legitimate word? Language is about making yourself unique, too, and if you don't believe me, tell me why soooooo many people think they sound intelligent when they use the 'F' word freely in everyday conversations.
  • November 18, 2009 - 12:01am Kelly Says:

Well of course she would leave her money to her child. Hopefully his use of the money will be monitored somehow. As for leaving her old lover some money, perhaps he has illness or financial hardship and she wanted to help him. Is it really any of our business where her money goes to? Who cares, she is gone. IRREGARDLESS.....geez. Stay in school folks, or you too might use words like "irregardless"!
  • November 17, 2009 - 11:11pm Kim Says:

Okay Katiedid, I can't let this go - you say irregardless?? Is that even a word?? Regardless would be fine and you say you can't judge a man by his past but you judge Ryan by his? How do you spell hypocrite?!?

People, Redmond CANNOT blow the money Farrah left him because it was left in a TRUST, with ADVISORS to handle it FOR HIM. He does NOT get the money outright. Also, he has to stay DRUG FREE, or his allowance from the trust will be CUT OFF. Farrah really was NOT stupid. This was a very smart way to try to help her son and leave her life savings to whom she wanted and had the right to do so. Ryan has stated previously that he has more than enough money of his own and did not want for anything, he wanted Redmond to have whatever Farrah wanted. Hope you're resting, Farrah.

I think that was a very wise thing for Farrah Fawcett to have done and do not see any ill will or malice towards Ryan intended. Ryan O'Neal is a very wealthy man in his own right, probably wealthier than Farrah and why should she have left him a bequests in her will? She had a son and I think she knew that Redmond would inherit from both she and Ryan, so she left Redmond the bulk of her estate as she should have done. I see nothing wrong with this at all. Although Ryan O'Neal has negative traits and she went through a lot with him, believe me, he's still connected to Farrah through her son and the trustee, Mr. Francis is also connected to Ryan O'Neal, I believe he is a business manager or something, so Ryan is still figures prominently in her life. You betcha!

IRREGARDLESS is NOT a word people.
  • November 17, 2009 - 8:41pm Why Says:

She was nuts to leave that drug addict kid of hers one dime. He is going to spend it all on drugs and will probably kill himself within the year. Why not leave that money to cancer research, or abused children, or why not leave the money for anything beside giving it to an unemployed drug addict bum? That kid of hers is nothing but a loser who has never earned a nickle in his life, he was been arrested numerous times and he is nothing but a big time drug addict.

Irregardless of what you people think, I think Farrah had a lot of class in the end. If she left her money to Ryan, he would have spent it on wild women. Maybe the boy will use it wisely. You can't judge a man by his past. Let him have a future.

Hey Courtney, What are you anyway? Spell checker? Get a grip girl, 99% of the people on these boards pay no attention to spelling. I guess you got one in every bunch! If it is possible for you, stick to the topic at hand.

Leopards don't change their spots. Ryan is the same schmuck who broke Farrah's arm...and her heart. Sorry...Not buyin' it!
  • November 17, 2009 - 7:25pm odelia Says:

How many of you know Ryan to write negative comments about him? How do you know he expected to receive money from Farrah after her death? It is a known fact that Ryan has made more money in his real estate holdings, much more than the 4.5M dollars Farrah had left for their only son, Redmond. Also, I know them personally, and both are the nicest people you would want to know and keep as friends. They are very down to earth, humble, sensitive, supportive and caring, very different from how the media portray them.
  • November 17, 2009 - 7:20pm Julie Says:

Her son is going to smoke up that money. I'm sorry but what exactly is Ferrah's "legacy"? She did Charlie's angels and is famous for one picture and a hair do???

    Ryan is right!
  • November 17, 2009 - 6:44pm LL Says:

Does Ryan O'Neal need more money? Or is he poor? They were never married - Farrah can leave her money to whom ever she wants. Nothing wrong with what she did.
  • November 17, 2009 - 6:26pm Capriana Says:

For the first time in his life, Ryan O'Neal is acting with a little class by not contesting Farrah's will. He gave her so much heartache for so many years, this is his karma and he seems okay with it. I'm glad that he finally seems like a decent man. Now, just make it up to your children.
  • November 17, 2009 - 6:24pm Courtney Says:
