David Letterman Heckled on SNL

Sunday – October 04, 2009 – 10:53am

David Letterman is the butt of more late night jokes.

On Saturday Night Live, Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers called the alleged $2 million sexual extortion attempt by CBS News producer "a stupid human trick."

He added that the alleged blackmailer, Robert "Joe" Halderman, had threatened to reveal embarrassing details of Letterman's personal life. Giving a joking example, he then said, "After sex, he would always say, 'Stay tuned for Craig Ferguson.'"

The night before, Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon poked fun at the Letterman scandal.

"If you came here tonight for sex with a talk show host, you've got the wrong studio," Leno said in his monologue.

Fallon cracked: "There's a new book out called 'Why Women Have Sex' that says there are 237 reasons why women have sex. And folks, Letterman knows the top 10."

Conan O'Brien didn't joke about it.

Guest Drew Carey brought it up on his show. "I would hate to be on opposite Letterman tonight with all that sex stuff going on," Carey said. "That's got to be tough."

But O'Brien -- who has called Letterman one of his influences -- replied, "No comment."

He is gross. There are two types of men in the world: those that care about others, and those that are only out for themselves.

since letterman has no qualms about making lewd jokes about women and young girls, the ages of the 'interns' he took to the couch should be investigated. he's perverted.

Don't you people have your own lives to worry about rather than passing judgement on celebrities...why do you even care WHAT David Letterman does...what difference does it make to you?

RE: "605 - Get a clue idiot. A boss known for hitting on young interns just screams sexual harassment. This story is over yet." No, 605 - consensual sex between two adults, no matter their position, is NOT sexual harassment. It may be seedy on behalf of the employer and it may be opportunistic on behalf of the employee but as long as no one is yelling no and no one is putting a stop to the CONSENSUAL SEX then no on is being harassed. No one, thus far reported, has filed a report, no on has said they were the victim. Move the frick on.

Frankly I love this. NBC is the liberal network, they love health care, reform, Obama etc. CBS is much more conservative (CBS/FOX), the no spin zone crappola shoved on us. Personally, I hope all the liberal networks like ABC, NBC keep dumping on CBS and their talent like Letterman, so that NBC can rise up and have the type of voice that is needed on Network TV. So keep bashing Letterman- Go the liberal point of view on the "other" networks:) I'm liking this plan personally. Keep reporting it US weekly. Keep supporting it conservative wack jobs. Your giving NBC exactly what it wants! I'm proud of ya!

wow..when did SNL become a topic of conversation outside of one of the no talent comedians using th F bomb last week? I'm wondering if NBC who is soooo desperate to get "ANY" of ABC and CBS's ratings as they are TRUMPING on them, realize that with EVERY mention of Letterman, every article that is written about it, it is giving the CBS network that much more publicity and ratings. Seriously, NBC is either desperate, completely stupid or both. I'm going with both. RIP NBC. You programming kind of sucks... A LOT.

October 04, 2009 - 5:14pm Anonymous Says: Who said anything about sexual harassment? If the women willingly engaged in sexual relations with Letterman, then there is no issue. -------------------------------------------------------------- Get a clue idiot. A boss known for hitting on young interns just screams sexual harassment. This story is over yet.

He cheated on his now wife for years, Lettermen is just another skank.
  • October 04, 2009 - 5:59pm Anonymous Says:

Good, it is what he has been doing for years to others. I feel sorry for his wife.
  • October 04, 2009 - 5:38pm Anonymous Says:

It doesn't matter if employees agree or not to have sex with their boss, sexual harassment at workplace is totally forbidden by the law. David knows how to manipulate people and women. It makes me sick to see how television and hosts have became for the last 10 years...no more respect for the viewers and professionalism for their jobs.
