'Adventures in Babysitting' Remake: Watch the Classic Blues Club Scene

Still got the babysitting blues! The Disney Channel debuted the first trailer for its TV movie Adventures in Babysitting on Tuesday, April 26 — and it pays homage to the original.

The new flick stars Girl Meets World actress Sabrina Carpenter as Jenny Parker, a teen who gets in way over her head while babysitting with her BFF Lola Perez (Sofia Carson). The pals end up in the city with their bratty charges and argue plenty as they try to get themselves home before curfew.

Fans of Chris Columbus' 1986 classic will be able to spot similarities immediately. In one particular scene, Jenny and Lola even recreate the classic jazz club scene — but with different lyrics.

"This girl is ruining my life. My job, my reputation. And if we ever get home I'm going to need a vacation," Jenny says in the sneak peek.

"OK, I admit it, I don't follow rules," Lola chimes in. "I'm not good with kids, I'm not good at school. It wasn't my plan to steal a car or end up in jail or take it this far."

Columbus' Adventures in Babysitting starred Elisabeth Shue, Maia Brewton, Keith Coogan, Anthony Rapp and Penelope Ann Miller. The Disney Channel original movie is set to premiere on Friday, June 24, at 8 p.m. ET.
