All the Powerful ‘Lemonade’ Cameos You May Have Missed

Forget Becky — Beyonce’s visual album, Lemonade, features a bevy of powerful, significant and famous women. Among those who make a cameo in the stunning hour-long feature include not just boldfaced women from Hollywood and sports but now-iconic, grieving women: Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton, Eric Garner’s mother Gwen Carr and Michael Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden.

The much-discussed and debated Lemonade takes viewers on a journey through different stages, including intuition, anger, apathy, happiness, forgiveness and resurrection.

During the moving resurrection scene, Fulton, Carr and McSpadden sit with portraits of their deceased sons. All three died following now-infamous altercations with police officers.

Beyonce explained during her recent interview with Elle magazine that she seeks to create “art that makes people feel proud of their struggle” and that “sometimes you need to be uncomfortable to transform.”

On a lighter-note, Williams dances and twerks provocatively with Queen Bey during infectious, talked-about track “Sorry,” while tween actress Quvenzhané Wallis also makes multiple appearances throughout the visual album, including a moment alongside Bey and Jay Z’s daughterBlue Ivy.

Zendaya, model Winnie Harlow, actress Amandla Stenberg, Ibeyi’s Lisa Kainde and Naomi Diaz, author and creole chef Leah Chase, ballerina Michaela DePrince and singers Chloe and Halle Bailey also make notable cameos.

Bey’s famous family is also included. Mom Tina Knowles appears alongside husband Richard Lawson in a snapshot from their April 2015 wedding, while Mathew Knowles plays with Blue in a hotel room. Footage of Jay Z’s grandmother Hattie White making a speech about turning lemons into lemonade also explains the album’s title.

Bey’s hubby makes an appearance towards the end of the album, when her character comes to terms with her unfaithful lover.
