She work, work, worked it! Rihanna wowed the crowd with her amazing, soulful vocals at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 22.
The songstress, 28, belted out a passionate, bluesy rendition of “Love on the Brain” from her latest album, Anti. She rocked a fur-lined navy jumpsuit and bifocal-style sunglasses and completely slayed the performance with her impressive vocals. With no dancing or special effects, the pop superstar sang on stage solo, with her band behind eerie tattered sheets.
Both ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who is up against Rihanna in the Top R&B Artist category, and current rumored love Drake were in attendance for her performance.
Earlier in the night, the Barbadian songstress stunned on the red carpet in a vintage brown Thierry Mugler dress with Manolo Blahnik statement heels before making a quick outfit change to take the stage.
Rihanna is also a finalist for the Billboard Chart Achievement Award, in which fans vote for their favorite artist, and she’s nominated for Top Female Artist and Top R&B album for her eighth studio album, Anti. The “Kiss It Better” singer is currently gearing up for the European leg of her Anti World Tour.
