Brandi Glanville Confirms Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Exit: It’s Been a “Roller Coaster”

Brandi Glanville
Brandi Glanville confirmed on her podcast on June 24 that she will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills next season

UPDATE: Bravo released a statement from Glanville on its website after her podcast announcement. "After a lot of careful thought and deliberation I have decided not to return to RHOBH as a full time cast member this season," the statement reads. "The past four years have been amazing, a complete roller coaster of a ride. I will always be thankful to Bravo for the opportunities that have come along with doing this pop culture phenomenon of a show. In the meantime, I'm working hard on my podcast, my new wine business, and my clothing line. And keep an eye out for my next adventure that will show everyone a more well-rounded side of who I really am."

Say your goodbyes! A week after Us Weekly confirmed that veteran Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville would not be returning to the Bravo show next season, Glanville herself confirmed the news on the Wednesday, June 24 episode of her podcast, Brandi Glanville: Unfiltered.

"After a lot of careful thought and deliberation, I have decided not to return to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," the Bravolebrity, 42, shared with listeners. "I mean, they've been awesome. And Bravo will always be my family. Like Andy [Cohen] said, 'It's the mafia, you never really get to leave us.'"

The Drinking and Tweeting author — who was famously married to Eddie Cibrian during his affair with his now-wife LeAnn Rimes — went on to say that she's open to returning on a guest-starring basis, but will be busy with other projects that she "can't talk about yet."

"They've been so great to me," she said of the RHOBH team. "And if I'm available and they need me, they know how to find me. We'll see. But I'm excited about what the future holds…It's just been a great four years, and I'm just really excited for what's next. And like I said, it's always gonna be my family. So I'll see ya when I see ya, peeps."

Rumors about Glanville's departure first circulated online earlier this month, after she alluded to some big news on Twitter. "I woke up with a sore throat and a HUGE decision to make today!" she wrote on June 18. "#RHOBH Will let you all know later I promise!!"

She added: "It can be a hard show to do & I've often cared about making it interesting even if it was to my own detriment. #JOB."

A source told Us Weekly at the time that the decision about her exit had been made several months ago. And a second insider said, unsurprisingly, that her costars — including Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, and Yolanda Foster — had clashed with her during filming. (Glanville controversially became close to Kyle's sister Kim Richards during the most recently aired season; Kim, currently in rehab, is also not returning.)

"The other Beverly Hills Housewives don't like Brandi," a source told Us of the reality star, who joined the show as a "friend" in Season 2. "She's out of control…She's just a s–t-starter and everyone is tired of it."
