Although networks spend plenty of time, energy, talent, and money on developing new TV shows each year, not every series can be a hit. Unfortunately, that means despite fan love and dedicated Internet fan campaigns, some of your favorite shows will be canceled.
The TV bloodbath continued on Friday, May 8 as Fox axed dramas The Following and Backstrom, and NBC got rid of comic-book adaptation Constantine, Katherine Heigl vehicle State of Affairs, and comedies About a Boy and Marry Me.
Later in the afternoon, NBC axed freshman comedy One Big Happy, while CBS got rid of first-season series Battle Creek and The McCarthys.
