Go, greased lightning! Fox’s highly anticipated TV musical event Grease: Live is less than a week away, but members of the cast still managed to find time away from rehearsing to bond over a SoulCycle ride on Monday, January 25, and Us Weekly has the exclusive details!

The session took place at SoulCycle Hollywood, which was decked out in Grease decorations, including red and white balloons to match Rydell High’s school colors.

Vanessa Hudgens — who plays Rizzo in the live version airing Sunday, January 31 — organized the event. Costars Julianne Hough (Sandy), Carlos PenaVega (Kenickie), Ana Gasteyer (Principal McGee), Andrew Call (Sonny), Elle McLemore (Patty), Sam Clark (Leo) and Vanessa’s younger sister Stella took part in the pulse-raising fun.

The soundtrack from the classic 1978 film played as everyone arrived, while dance music dominated during the actual class. Michael Jackson’s “Will You Be There” kicked things off, and David Guetta and Nicki Minaj‘s hit “Hey Mama” was also on the playlist.

The final song during the ride, fittingly, was Jessie J‘s new take on “Grease Is the Word” from Grease: Live. As it played, everyone screamed along to the lyrics and waved their towels.

The cast members told Us Weekly that this was their only day off as they continue to prepare for the three-hour televised production, but they still wanted to sweat together at SoulCycle.
