Going out on a high. Jodie Sweetin wasn’t shedding any tears after becoming the latest celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing With the Stars on Monday, May 9 — and felt proud that she and her pro dance partner, Keo Motsepe, had done everything they could.
Despite whizzing to the top of the leader board with three perfect 10s, Sweetin and her partner were sent home at the end of week 8. But talking to Us Weekly after the show, the Fuller House star revealed she and Motsepe were already making plans to work together again soon.
“If you have to go, best to go on the highest scores you’ve gotten all season, rather than leaving and saying, ‘That was crap!'” the 34-year-old star told Us. “We can both hold our heads really high and say we were proud of what we did.”
And since production for her Full House reboot starts this morning, May 10, it turned out to be pretty good timing for Sweetin’s dance run to come to an end.
“I’m so incredibly grateful for this experience and I’m looking at it in a way of — look at all the things that I gained and the friendships that I made,” she said. “And we start Fuller House production tomorrow, so I’m literally walking away from one amazing experience right into another. I can’t believe that I get to stop one thing and literally, twelve hours later, start another.”
And while she will of course miss the friends she’s made on the hit dance show, Sweetin revealed she has high hopes that at least one of them will get involved in her next project too!
“Keo is going to be there all the time!” she said, of her next job on the Fuller House set. “I don’t know if he’ll make a cameo but I’m definitely pushing for it! My goal is to get some DWTS person on every single season of Fuller House!”
