Kristen Bell has once again mastered an iconic Disney character! After the actress, 34, voiced the beloved Anna from 2013’s Frozen, she is now taking on the beloved Mary Poppins in a new Funny or Die sketch.
Stepping into the role that Julie Andrews won an Oscar for in 1965, Bell bares an uncanny resemblance to the magical nanny. In the parody video, Bell’s Poppins is quitting her job working for the Banks family because she’s only being paid the federal minimum wage.
“Just a three dollar increase can make a living wage,” she (flawlessly!) sings to the tune of “A Spoonful of Sugar.” “I don’t get these birds for free!”
Explaining that she’s living below the poverty line, Poppins then goes on to teach Jane and Michael Banks about minimum wage. Dressed in the nanny’s memorable, high-collared outfit with a cherry red bow, Bell is the spitting image of the popular Disney character.
She adds a bit of cheeky flare to the role, talking to herself in the mirror, saying, “Are you a Republican? I do love a good Tea Party!”
