Kristin Cavallari: DWTS Is "Clearly Not a Dance Competition"
Is K-Cavs mad?
Kristin Cavallari was as shocked and bummed as everyone else to be shown the door on Tuesday night's elimination episode of Dancing with the Stars.
The reality star, 24, scored high marks and praise from the judges in the first three weeks of the ABC smash -- nabbing 24 out of 30 points (just 3 points shy of leader Ricki Lake) for her "Crazy in Love" samba with Mark Ballas on Monday's show.
"I'm really sad," Cavallari told Us Weekly after the elimination at Ubisoft 's launch of Just Dance 3 at The Beverly in West Hollywood.

"But," mused the Hills star, "I'd rather go out on top and have people be shocked than have people be like, 'Thank god she's leaving, it's about time.' It was the best experience I've ever had. I could not be happier that I did the show."
She mused that, perhaps, viewer votes had little do with her actual dancing skills. "It is what it is," she told Us. "That's the thing with Dancing with the Stars, you never know," she said, laughing. "It's clearly not a dance competition!"

Sentimental fave Chaz Bono -- whose mom Cher vowed to attend next week's performance if her son made it through -- survived the week despite nabbing the lowest score of 18.
But Cavallari is huge fan of Bono, 42, the show's first-ever transgendered contestant. "Chaz is so cute! I think he's great and he tries so hard, and I loved watching him dance every week. It's inspiring, and it's sweet, and I hope he does really well!"

How has her already-slamming body transformed as a result of her time in the rehearsal studio? "My legs and my butt just got a little bit tighter. That's about it."
One thing she's not opening up about: What appears to be a reconciliation with ex-fiance Jay Cutler, who cheered her on during Monday's show, and with whom she was holding hands Tuesday.
"I'm just not talking about it."

Tell Us What You Think
36yeah, no one likes her
If the popularity vote counts, get rid of the judges. This is starting to sound like when we vote for a political office the electoral college takes over......
DWTS is supposed to be a competition, not a personality contest. The BEST dancers, no matter who they are, are supposed to win. The WORST dancers, no matter who they are, should lose. Fair is Fair....Chaz might be a nice guy, but it's painfully clear to see, he couldn't dance his way out of a paper bag. And, I think he knows it. So, Chaz Bono should be gracious about it and do what's right. Take himself out of the competition. BTW - DWTS should apologize and change their rules.
But I am so very thankful and extremely happy to you see go. Your personality sucks, you're incredible vain, and all around unlikeable. Chaz may not have rhythm but he has a heart.
She's absolutely right! It is a popularity contest rather than getting votes based on merit. The judges should be able to save one person each season.
Seriously, did anyone ever believe this was not a popularity contest right from the day the show started? All these voting talent shows are, from America Idol to this show and beyond.
She is annoying...I'd rather see Chaz that seems like a down to earth guy dance his butt off and doesn't whine....then this snob from Laguna Beach...still talks like she is in high school....you should tell you PR people to give you advice on how to talk to the media because its clearly sooooooo high school....lol
Am a dancer. Losing faith in DWTS. No longer a dance competion but a popularity contest. Cher hit right on the head. Chaz is being kept on because of her mom. If he was a man he should have forfitided. Everyone wants to see Cher. Chaz the worst dancer ever.
This was never a dance competition. Never. That is why bristol and Kate Gosselin were on so long. I think this one really just sexed it up, and wasn't that great. No emotion either.
You acted like you were selling sex, and not dancing. The audience did not respond to you, so you must have done something wrong, because they could have voted anyone else off and didn't.
Oh Kirsten get over yourself stop whining glad you were voted off
Screw you KIRSTEN. Cant stand her or her voice. Good she went home. ... Not that Im watching this lame show :)
SOOOOO.....THIS is what the tea party did for bristol....how does it feel america? couldn't have come at better time....don't u think for a minute.... that this isnt payback....
I have to agree, DWTS is not a dance competition, it's who has a fan base that is willing to vote for them even if they couldn't dance to save their life. I'm talking to you Chaz, you clomped around that dance floor like a lame horse. I was totally shocked, but more annoyed that Kristin was voted off. She was phenomenal!
This show is a joke! Kristen should still be there. She was MUCH better then others on the show.
She is a snotty brat . That is why she is gone .
Did she think it was a Dance competition? It is a popularity contest..She isn't as well known as some of the others and way too good to be on the show....Just my opinion....
It is a dance competition, But most people want to see those who cant dance when they get to the show make it longer to see if they can actually learn to dance! whining just shows why people didn't vote for you! I think most competitions on tv you have to have a good personality to make it far, so with that said Im surprised you made it this far!!
Its what happens when the Masses, the Public, are allowed to vote or have their say. IT, IT, is why Selena Gomez is not a Bigger star than she now is: JBieber, MCyrus and TSwift Fans (but also some of Britneys and others) Mostly like the other artists..but they dont, or even hate, SGomez. Altho the SGomez factor borders on Bigotry, the masses still have their say..I feel for K. Cav bc she was good.
Too bad she doesn't know how tosmile - if I had that bod,,I'dbe ecstatic!
