The matrimony of Mimi is coming to TV. Mariah Carey’s wedding to James Packer will be featured in the 46-year-old’s upcoming E! reality series, Mariah’s World.
“Her team wants it on the show,” a Carey source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The “Hero” singer is currently filming the docuseries, which will take fans behind the scenes of her Las Vegas residency and two-month European tour. “Her manager is a reality TV producer and got her the deal,” a second source previously told Us. Added a third insider: “It’s nuts. Mariah is very funny on camera.”
Though Carey and Packer, 48, who got engaged in January, haven’t set a date for their wedding, the Carey insider says the Australian billionaire would “go along with” the on-air nuptials. “He does what Mariah wants,” the source adds.
No doubt fans would love to see the singer walk down the aisle. And based on Nick Cannon's well-wishes to the couple, he might tune in too. “Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union… #GreatPeople #GreatCouple,” Carey’s ex-husband and dad of 4-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan wrote on Instagram in January.
According to The New York Times, Mariah’s World will air later this year, with the wedding taking place this spring.
