Octomom Nadya Suleman Joins Celebrity Dating Show

Octomom Nadya Suleman is set to star in a brand-new celebrity dating show on HDNET called Celebridate.

"I was lucky enough to be invited to be a part of it," Suleman tells Pop Eater. "I have not watched TV in almost a decade, but I might just tune into this one! I don't perceive myself to be a celebrity, but I guess they do. To a certain degree, I am in the public eye."

No kidding. The controversial mom made headlines when she gave birth to octuplets in January 2009, bringing her total number of children to 14.

(Earlier this month, the California State Medical Board decided Dr. Michael Kamrava "did not exercise sound judgment" when he implanted 12 embryos inside Suleman in 2008; his license will be revoked July 1.)

For Suleman, 35, appearing on Celebridate is more than just an excuse to extend her 15 minutes of fame -- it's also her one shot at finding true love.

"I've never dated. This is actually the first time I have dated in my life," she says. "I've had one boyfriend, and it was very fascinating to me; it was an unforgettable experience. I am painfully shy and anxious. That's just my personality. So it's difficult for me to interact and to have eye contact."

Celebridate, which premieres in October, will be hosted by Blind Date's Roger Lodge.

Well, they mean celebrity in that she became news due to what she did and how she had so many babies. I remember there was going to be a tv show like what the Gosselins had and there was a lot of negative backlash from that. I also forgot that she had been married. So if she never dated how did she have a boyfriend and a husband? This woman is an attention seeker and while she is off running around trying to find some man to date, they need to look into why she is still on welfare, why she is not working and who is taking care of her kids while she is off doing whatever. Those older kids were already having issues when they did an interview with her. They are going to have some issues when they get older.

I don't think she has taken ANY responsibility. She already had 6 kids and was ON welfare but she took money and paid to get pregnant again. So now she is still on welfare, has 14 kids and is looking to go out AND date because she NEVER dated before. Boo Hoo! I wonder what she is doing now to support her 14 kids. She did not seem so shy when she was doing ALL those interviews either. Even her own parents had issues with what she did.

NOt only does she have 14 kids, some of them are special needs and that takes a lot of work. I don't think she has made good choices but she is taking responsibilty atleast.

Nope, I don't think I will be watching this one. While I love reality tv, I'm getting a little tired of supporting stupid and irresponsible behavior. After a while, it's not funny, it's sad.

Is there really a guy out there who wants to take on the responsibility of 14 kids? I don't think its going to work but then again you never know! Hope the guy doesn't want kids of his own she really does not need anymore kids!
