Yolanda H. Foster only wants the best for her 17-year-old aspiring model daughter, Gigi Hadid -- but she has an interesting way of doling out advice.
On the Nov. 12 episode of Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the Holland-born former model -- who made her second appearance as one of season 3's two new cast members -- hovered over her daughter during the teen's latest photo shoot.
Maintaining that she did not want to become an overbearing stage mom, Foster -- married to music producer David Foster -- insisted on inspecting Gigi's wardrobe and sought approval on her modeling pictures. (As far as makeup was concerned, Foster berated the teen for wearing eye makeup that is "Chinese looking.)
While Foster was a constant presence at the photo shoot, it was her behavior in private that was even more troublesome. Foster, who once modeled herself for Eileen Ford in places like Paris, Sydney and Tokyo, firmly told her super-slim daughter to watch her food intake at her upcoming birthday party. "You can have one night of being bad," Foster told Gigi. "And then you gotta get back on your diet. In Paris they like the girls a tad on the skinny side."
During her first appearance Nov. 5, Foster herself was the brunt of harsh commentary when costar Brandi Glanville chatted her up at the anniversary party for Lisa VanderPump's restaurant.
"Your ex-husband is Mohamed [Hadid]. You know everyone, you've slept with everyone, it's all good," Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife Glanville told Foster during their tense first meeting.
