All the boys just love Jennifer Aniston -- and so does fellow American Sweetheart Reese Witherspoon!

Witherspoon, 36, honored her pal Aniston, 42, at ELLE's 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Monday.

Taking the podium to introduce Aniston, the recently remarried How Do You Know star looked back on how they became fast friends following her  nerve-wracking guest appearance on Friends way back in 1999, when she played the frosty, high-maintenance younger sister to Aniston's Rachel Green.

"I just had a baby [daughter Ava, now 12] and I could not stop watching Friends," the Oscar winner confessed. "I was super duper excited y'all!"

The major hitch, once she arrived on set? "In all my enthusiasm, I completely forgot something crucial...I had never been on television [or] in front of a live audience ever in my entire life. And I panicked! I totally froze!"

"I couldn't remember my lines and the writers were yelling ... I just stood there absolutely completely frozen."

Cue huge sitcom star Aniston, who pulled the newbie aside and said "'Hey, are you okay? You're kind of freaking me out!'"

Aniston offered Witherspoon some crucial advice. "[She said], 'You're going to make a mistake and you're going to flip your line and whatever -- and the audience is going to love it,'" Witherspoon recalled. "'Don't try to be perfect, just try to be yourself.'"

PHOTOS: Who is Jen's BFF?

"That's the story that sort of captured Jen the best for me," Witherspoon explained on the podium. "On one hand, she is this gorgeous breathtaking beauty that men lose their thought process and their speech patterns [over]," she gushed of the star, now dating Justin Theroux. "I've actually seen this, it's incredible when they see her. And, on the other hand, she is a woman who lets you in."

"There's not that many people actually that have this incredible combination of sex appeal and complete lovabililty," she said of the Horrible Bosses actress. "You just want to get your nails done with her, and you want to make out with her at the same time . . . at least I do!" she cracked.

"First we get our nails done, then we make out!" she joked. "It's totally awesome. That's because she's MY friend, not yours!"

Aniston was appropriately thankful once she accepted her award. "Good Lord, Reese Witherspoon! Wow. I adore you and I thank you for those beautiful words."

She looks great. Come on, stop getting self-righteous about a dress, saying its not empowering to women. She's not the first to wear a dress like this and she's not the last. This "plunging neck line" style dress has been worn by MANY celebrities on the red carpet. It's not a statement, its a dress. Which she is rockin. Her boobs are not hanging out. They are completely covered, no different then women who go around with push up bras and lowcut dresses/shirts that are less then an inch away from showing their nipples. Or 2piece bathing suits. The woman is not just beautiful, she has a great personality. Anyone can be pretty, that's nothing special, but a beautiful personality is really something else.

Sorry but Jen look like a street walker with her ta ta's hanging out. How is that empowering women? I thought we moved on from that back woods image. I like to think my brain empowered me, not my behind stripped down to not many clothes.

I really like both these women, I can well see them being friends.

I find it ironic the 2 people on here calling her ugly are the only people without a profile picture. Love Reese and Jen, they are two of my favorite comedic actresses!

@KC- you're jealousy is seething out every pore in your body. Jennifer isn't what I would call a class A beauty but can you seriously look at the body on that woman and think she's ugly?

Jen is very attractive. Beautiful blue eyes, and great legs. I enjoy her interviews, she seems very energetic and friendly. She did a good job directing one of the segments in Five.

so narrowminded to think a chin or a nose are more important than a carismatic personality and humour. I agree with Heather and Carlynn, looks like you feel better when diminishing others; or you're a real fan of barbies, who come often with no personality.

Just because someone has his/her opinion about some else it doesn't mean that person doesn't have a life. You are entitle to your opinion and someone else entitle to his/her opinion. This is America the last time I check. Freedom of expression. Aniston does look manly. She looks like a drag queen.

go away Kc you nothing but a hater!!! You must be so unhappy in your life to hate on someone you dont even know....

  • October 18, 2011 - 12:26pm Carlynn Lawrence

@KC beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What do you look like? Apparently not attractive enough to post a pic.

Jen is not beautiful. Are people blind? In the picture for this story she looks extremely manly. Like Fabio's twin sister. What is beautiful about her chin, and big nose?
