Dancing With the Stars crowned a Season 14 winner Tuesday night! Was it William Levy, Katherine Jenkins or Donald Driver who took home the Mirror Ball trophy?
The three hour finale kicked off with a recap of Monday's performances. Going into the finale, Jenkins led with 60/60 and Levy and Driver followed with 59/60 each.
Twelve contestants started the competition ten weeks ago and all twelve -- Gavin DeGraw, Gladys Knight, Jack Wagner, Jaleel White, Maria Menounos, Martina Navratilova, Melissa Gilbert, Roshon Fegan, Sherri Shepherd, Levy, Jenkins and Driver -- returned to perform on the finale. Empress of Soul Knight was also a special musical performer for the evening, performing her rendition of "The Way We Were." American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson also took the stage to perform her new single "Dark Side," as well as her hit "Stronger."
Finalists Levy, Jenkins and Driver danced one last performance for judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli Tuesday. Those scores were combined with their fan votes to determine the Season 14 champion.
Levy, 31 and his partner Cheryle Burke danced the Salsa and the judges gave them a perfect 30/30. "You have true star quality," Inaba said.
Jenkins, 31, and her partner Mark Ballas danced the Jive and Tonioli called Jenkins, "The girl that has it all." The partners also earned a perfect score of 30/30.
Driver, 37, and his partner Peta Murgatroyd performed the Cha Cha for their last dance of the season. Goodman said DWTS has had their share of football stars on the show, but "my feeling is you're the best we've had." The judges gave Driver a perfect 30/30.
Finally, it was time to announce the winner. The judges' scores were combined with fan votes and Levy came in third place. "It was an amazing experience," he said. "I'm going to miss all of you."
And the winner of Season 14 of Dancing With the Stars is...Driver! "Yes!" he shouted, holding up the Mirror Ball trophy.
Second place winner Jenkins said, "Thank you to everybody for having me on the show. It's been an absolute dream."
