Downey, Jr.'s first major role came in 1987 with The Pick-up Artist, costarring Molly Ringwald, and later that year, the actor played a drug addict in Less Than Zero, which mirrored his real life repeated trouble with the law for his repetitive drug use. (He claims he was introduced to drugs when his father offered him marijuana joint when he was eight.) Now clean, Downey, Jr.'s other credits include Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man 2 and The Avengers.
