Season 10's frontrunner had never appeared in the bottom three before her April 7 elimination. "I'm shocked. I'm angry. I don't know what to say," Toscano's staunchest supporter, judge Jennifer Lopez, said after the announcement, struggling to hold back tears.

No way Phillip Phillips should have won! His songs all sound alike! Either Jessica for Joshua should have won! Maybe no more watching American Idol!
American Idol has become a joke - 2011 and 2012. The name of the show is also a joke. I did like Pia very much in 2011, but Phillip showed me nothing at all. The other singers, who were excellent, were used to continue the "show" with good performances and were led to believe that they had a chance to win. All along, I believe this was done to promote Phillip as the final winner. He should have been gone home weeks and weeks ago. I stopped watching the show. I can't wait until X-factor comes on.... American Idol sucks! CHANGE WHAT YOU'RE DOING! IT'S OBVIOUS!

I thought she was one of the best singers I ever heard in American Idol. She chose what she wanted to sing but her voice was perfect for any genre (excluding rap!)
I wasn't shocked at all that Pia was eliminated early. She had a good voice but she suited more for ballads which she performed almost every night. I think became bored with her as she wasn't as versatile as other idols like Adam Lambert.
I loved Pia. I was so upset when voted off and so angry. I wanted to cry. she is so talented and she is a winner already. I didn't watch the show for several weeks. just watching the last 2 weeks now. took me a long time to get over it. I hope they make a change as america isn't voting for talent. pia will out do all of them I feel.so hard to not be able to watch her all the way through. she would have grown with the dancing and the stage presence. her voice though was the best of all of them.
PIa was great at vocals.She could not perform or dance.She had the had no dance moves.Even when they would dance at the end of the show she would just stand there.I think she is a great singer but a horrible performer.The only time she moved around stage was when she had on that horrible cow costume .
Pia has two gift from God,, sweet voice and physical charms.
This is undeniably the most talented group in the history of Idol, but PIA on talent and stage presence was definitely the best. Unfortunately too many of us just took it for granted that she was the best and did not call in. The show has to decide whether their idol is going to be selected based on talent or popularity. I believe very strongly that we are going to see a lot more of PIA. Jimmy the producer is no dummy, he rushed to get her signed. As a fellow New Yorker, Pia made us extremely proud!!
I totally agree with all those comments about Pia Toscano..and I'm really upset because I thought that she was going to be safe so I didn't vote for her.. so I guess I should consider myself stupid and in this case I'm guilty.. I'm sorry Pia but I promise I will buy your music specially your first CD...
This season I have been very impressed with the judges, who consistently offer valid, helpful, constructive criticism to the contestants. However, they blew it when they used their only save too early. I was looking forward to seeing Pia, who had the best female voice on the show, improve on her performance skills to complement her singing skills. Pia is far better than all the male singers with the possible exception of Scott. However, far less talented pretty boy rockers remain on the show because teenie boppers vote for them. If Fox wants this show to remain top rated, they had better give the judges more say in the process when the audience does something stupid as it clearly did this time.
I really was upset at first moment, but now, when she already has the record deal i am happy for her. All others will fight another 8 weeks to get what she already has.I honestly wouldn't even turn on TV, when AI will be airing next week. Producer Nigel is a pig for his ugly comment. I lost my respect for him
Pia is loved in Australia, thought to be at least a finalist. Stop the texting from the Teeny Boppers. Such good talent born out of America but the judgement from the general public leaves doubt.
Obvious talent and beauty too... eliminated. Need new kind of voting system to curtail this sort of thing. At least she's has been offered a record contract so she's not losing too much. However, as a viewer of this show.. it makes for poor ratings when we see the most talented elimited! Don't know how long I'll continue to watch this show!!!!!
Believe the type of voting needs to be changed. Obviously, it's how many friends vote for you here and on Dancing with the Stars. Crystal Palin was awful and lasted too long (probably her mother's voting friends). Now Pia who has such wonderful talent and beauty is eliminated because everyone figured they didn't need to vote as she's a sure contender -- now she's eliminated!
Pia was best singer i think i heard in the ten years of the show. She has style, grace, & beauty.She will become the biggest talent from this show.Change the voting system
I knew from the very start that PIA had all the beauty, brains, talent and class to become a star....way above and beyond American Idol which is becoming a JOKE. Too many teen viewers who have made it a popularity contest instead of a talent contest!
she is good but god has something for her he will not let her down because sh e has that wonderful voice. i was so upset that i even cry, but i no u will be there god bless u!!
My idol went home to soon, so don't care who wins this years contest.Pia, YOU are the best, Curacao loves you!
