  I think Celine jumped the gun way to soon and announced that she was pregnant and things did not work out as expected, that's why you should wait it out for the 3 months, she announced it the first month, that's a no-no, I did the same thing and things did not work out. I love her and her music and always will, and I also think that her husband is way to old to become a father, I'm in the same suitation as her, my husband is 18 years older then me and that's our suitation.

  well if she is 41 and her so is 8 then she had him when she was 33...and they tried for 6 years to have him...so really she tried to start her family when she was 27...which really isn't that old.

  Leave them alone they are going thru a hard time now. If they have any embryos left they should use a surrogate. They are true angels.

  Becoming a parent is a very personal decision to make. There is no perfect time or situation... I am Thankful for Womens Liberation!!!! If she and Renee did miscarry...God's speed b/c it is devistating!!

  Well it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know that freezing embryos for years and years so you can make millions more might not be a great idea. Guess money was a bigger priority than babies. You can't manipulate God.

  I've just had my second child at 41 years old. My baby is perfect and normal - I married my husband when I was 35, which is why I got a late start on having children. I wanted to have the perfect father for my children - I was married for 7 years to a man who eventually told me that he didn't want children. Sometimes it just happens later in life, but it was so worth the wait! We didn't use any extraordinary methods to get pregnant. I had older parents (Dad was 52 and Mom was 40 when my twin and I were born) and I adored them - I never thought there was anything weird or wrong with having olkder parents. They lived long enough to see me graduate from HS and college, dance at my wedding(s) and see my first child born. So my advice to all the older ladies out there who want to try and start a family: go for it!

  I am going to adopt kids for this very reason. I'm not "too old" to have kids, but I have endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome, so I can either 1) adopt/foster my kids or 2) undergo surgery to clear out the extra scar tissue from my uterus, plus hormone treatment and IVF. I've just accepted that my body is the way it is. Even if I had the money to do all that, I wouldn't. I'm not going to go messing with it more than I need to just so I can give birth to a child that is genetically mine. My parents are really upset with me because I'm not even going to try, but whatever. There are lots of kids that need a home, and I'm very happy to give a few of them a place to call their own and a family that loves them. Besides, the medical issues I have would increase a chance for a miscarriage. No thanks. I know several people who have adopted and it wasn't as hard as some people here are saying... Their kids are beautiful and happy and in a much better situation than they were. If you're like me and you can't have kids, you just have to get to a place where you accept it and look at other options.

  All these people ragging on women who "wait" until they are older to have children... would you preferred they went out and got pregnant when they were 16? Many of these women (not just celebrities) waited until they were married and had a financially stable home to give their kids the best life they possibly could. Money isn't everything but when there is financial stress in the home it can lead to divorce and other issues that affect children negatively. And then, when those RESPONSIBLE parents find out they are having issues conceiving, they get ragged on again because they didn't choose to adopt instead. Much of the complaints come from people who have neither adopted themselves or know anyone who has and have no idea of the differences. But then again, if Celine had adopted, everyone would be ragging on her for "jumping on the adoption bandwagon". Ridiculous.

  Why would anyone cut on Celine for choosing her career first? It was her choice, and she's not whining; so she wants a baby, it doesn't make her bad for waiting. It makes her grown up to realize what her priorities were at the time..better for any child to have a parent put them first when they're READY

Hey Cindy, why post about something you are obviously CLUELESS about? Celine and her husband didn't wait for years to have kids. They started trying to conceive immediately after they were married - when Celine was TWENTY-SEVEN. They tried for many years before they finally tried IVF and were able to give birth to their son. Her husband was also battling cancer and Celine took several years off of her career to be with him and spend time with their new son.

  My husband and I tried to adopt several times but it was going to cost us 3 times the amount it would for us to have IVF unless we opted for a disabled or older child. Our insurance covered 3 sessions of IVF, but it does not cover expenses of a birth mother if we opted for an open adoption. We could not afford that. We decided to foster children instead, hoping to be able to adopt a child that was available to us via fostercare. We learned quickly that adoption was not for us. Many of these kids have deep issues and although it is not their fault, it is also not our fault that we don't know how to handle them. You are talking about parents who have never known such cruelty and we are supposed to somehow know how to solve these issues AND be first time parents. Regardless of the "training" and counseling available, it does not always work. If we could have afforded an open adoption, we would have done so, but for our circumstances, financially and emotionally, IVF was our only real option. Until you put yourself in another person's shoes and know the facts of the subject you are speaking, it makes no sense to "stand by" your opinions when you don't even know the facts.

Sarah Jessica Parker and her should get together so she can tell Celine about having a sarrogate. It's not about who grows the baby, it's about who raises it!

  I will never understand why someone my age would put themselves thru that. Get a surrogate or adopt. You are putting your childs health at risk when you conceive at that age. Think of what's best for the child. There are many ways to build a family.
