Pregnant Heidi Klum: My "Thighs, Butt" Have Exploded

Heidi Klum -- who is due in October with her fourth child, a girl -- says the last month of pregnancy is the worst.
"The last month is unbelievable, how rapidly your stomach goes. It's huge," Klum, 36, tells Page Six magazine (out Sept. 10). "The thighs, the butt -- everything explodes in the end."
Klum -- who famously sported a bikini at the 2005 Victoria's Secret fashion show just two months after giving birth to son Henry -- says she'll regain her pre-baby bod.

"It's bizarre. Just as it's a miracle that you can grow a human being in your belly, it's a miracle that your body goes back to normal again," she says. "I don't think you ever get back to exactly the way you were, but you do get close. And I'm happy with that. Especially when you see your kid for the first time."

Klum also opens up about what makes her husband, Seal, "the one." The two celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in May by renewing their vows with a "white trash" celebration in Malibu.
"Aside from his sexy stature? He's a gentle giant," she says of the Grammy winner, 46, who is six-foot-three. "We're very into family values. If you come to our house in L.A., you'll see that it's not a big, museum-like house where you can't touch anything or sit anywhere. It's a family house, where three children [Leni, Henry, 4; and Johann, 3] are living. We have toys all over the place."

The reason many women gain too much weight while pregnant is over-indulgence. You need self-control to limit what you eat. The fetus is very small, you don't have to eat for two. If you have discipline after having a baby, the weight you gained would come off right away. I did with both of the two kids I had. -

I think Heidi and Seal are a wondeful couple. How many celebrities can speak about owning a family style home that puts family first(toys all over, etc.). None that I have heard about. This is great. They seem so in love with each other and every time I see them with their kids they are amazing. If they can love them and care for them like this whose right is it to say how many kids they should have? What would you critics have done if you were born 50 years ago when it was the norm to have 7 or 8 kids per household? I think if you love kids and want to have a large family go for it! I was one of 7 and our childhood was awesome! We also had an awesome Mom and Dad who kept up with all of us and all of our activities. My Dad never missed a sporting event or play. My Mom was always baking cookies for us and doing crafts with us. Some people should not have large families. Some people should not have children at all but if you are someone who loves kids and wants a family, don;t let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. All kids need is love and God will provide the rest. -

HOW MANY kids do people need? Love a couple and give them all you've got, don't keep collecting more and spreading your time thin. More kids, LESS TIME spent with each of them, more time the kids spend with a strange nanny raising them, as many couples use. If you have to use a nanny to raise your kids, you've got too many kids or your priorities are not straight. People, don't have them and then ship them off to a sitter or a nanny. Why even have them in the first place then? No wonder so many kids suffer and end up a mess. -------------------- I don't think having 4 is too many for celebs that can afford them. There are alot of 'regular' people out there who have 3-4 kids, and they do just fine without nannies. I agree that parents need to be in charge of raising their own kids though. Nannies should be luxuries, not necessities. -

I know someone didn't have the nerve to say that four kids is too many. I bet those same freaks just love themselves some Kate Gooseface though! Hypocrites! They can afford to have 12 kids, unlike the Geese or Octo will ever have - EVER!! But getting back to the topic, being pregnant with a girl DOES make a woman's rear get really huge. I notice that doesn't tend to happen when women are carrying boys. Don't know why; just glad I had a son!! :-) -

Hmm...I think it is true that the weight spreads out more and you gain everywhere when having a girl. At least that is the way it is for alot of women I have known that have had girls and boys. They always say the boy was all belly while the weight from carrying a girl goes all over. There are a ton of pregnancy myths, but some do seem true. Babies are such a blessing...I bet these two are so excited that they are finally having a girl together. -

Every woman's body responds differently to pregnancy....I didn't get big until my 4th baby...But then again, I know women who have had only one, or two, and got huge...It's just genetic.. Heidi always looks fantastic, and she and Seal make a wonderful couple.. I give her kudos because having kids so close in age takes a special kind of mommy!! -

When you're having a girl your body spreads? Who ever made that stupid comment needs to think before speaking. I have 2 girls and 2 boys, my body changed the same with each one. I returned to my preprego size after each one. The sex of the baby has no bearing on how your figure changes. I just have to say......For stupid! -
