The N-word is part and parcel of a pattern of societal repression that has been absorbed by black men and women and kids for use on and with one another. While it has been argued that among this group it is a method of identification and value agreement, the identification and values I have observed have nearly always been those of people whose sense of identity is based upon their status as victims and second-class citizens. I cringe when I hear them use the word, perpetuating and ratifying their low self-esteem and assumptions of worthlessness.

Personally, i think there's too much hate & anger in you ppl. You can't judge a person by what the tabloid painted them to be. There are 2 sides in every stories. So before you all make a judgment & slam Denise, please do some reflection.Who are you to judge others? Are you the world perfect mum or dad? Everyone makes mistakes! Did Denise do anything personally to hurt you? What makes you ppl thinks Heather Locklear is the victim here? In fact, if you could think rationally, Denise was awarded custody of Lola & Sami...that speaks something isn't it?

I agree with Torrie that it's simply amazing how someone will claim that they don't have a racist bone in their body yet they'll use a slur that they know offends Black people and when they GET CAUGHT they always trot out that ONE Black friend to prove differently! Like the fact that they have one Black friend means something? If anyhing it's more of a slap in the face to that "friend" because he or she is being trooped out like a mascot!

The other interesting thing about this is that most hispanics have African roots and his father, Martin Sheen changed his name from Ramon Estévez to Martin Sheen which meand that ol' Charllie Sheen is hispanic too! So how can a hispanic call someone else the N word? Seems like he forgot where he came from as well! Just ignorant!

Denise was selling the tapes so not only did she trash her children's father but she made cash from it also. She is just just a pathetic mess and I cannot believe E gave her a show.Loser!!

Divorce is so ugly. Most people who get divorces, if they had access to the media, would do the same thing. I don't know why in the world ANYONE would marry Charlie Sheen. How nice can a guy who used hookers as a lifestyle choice be. I mean really! Is Denise kidding me? No one would marry him for anything other than fame and fortune. He just does not come across as a nice person. And why is he using the N word? How can a drug addicted nasty boy have the nerve to put down somebody else?

I have watched Denise in action on her new show, "It's Complicated" and all I can say is, life is only as complicated as you make it. She seems to be the one who is dragging this whole bitter divorce along. She is VERY money hungry, especially when she contemplated posing nude for Playboy and never once said ANYTHING about her dignity, but instead was worried about the pricetag.
As an African-American woman, I do NOT think it was appropriate for Charlie Sheen to use the "N" word at anytime for any reason. And I TRULY love how, when these people are "outed" for their racial slurs, they start to bring up their Black friends. If you can name ONE Black man that you MAY have offended, you are PREJUDICE. Times are old when these racists think a simple apology to the only Black man they know is enough. So in this case, HELL NO, I'm sorry is not enough. And I think it is the lowest of the low when a man calls a woman, especially the mother of his children, a "c**t".
My first concern is for these children. Their mom is strange. Her show is filled with a jungle full of animals and curse words, and her trying to justify being a homewrecker. And their dad is nothing more than a racist pig who deserves to be put through all the B.S. he is being put through since that is probably the only punishment he will ever get, until he meets God on judgement day to explain himself then. How low and pathetic can these parents be?

The use of the N-word matters because it is not JUST sticks and stones...it is a system of inferior educational facilities, lack of real supermarkets or access to healthy food, a criminal system that could look at two white girls holding up a bank and give them a slap on the wrist while the media refers to those idiots as "Barbie Bandits", it is KNOWING that if YOU, a black woman, went missing, no media market would care and if they found your body, you were probably a prostitute or drug addict, Jane Doe, after never having touched a drug or alcohol, it is a system where in the REAL, BIG CITY corporate world, your white co-workers feel uncomfortable if they see you talking to another black person in another department yet they are free to find connections wherever they go (it is oppressive), it is a world where shoplifting was NEVER A RIGHT OF PASSAGE or an option giving your Baptist upbringing yet YOU are the ONE followed through the store because you're just a baby mama while a white woman across the store stuffs something from her cart under the hat her toddler is wearing, it is an industry of television cads and movie bandits who CHOOSE TO REFLECT THE IMAGE OF YOU THEY MOST RIDICULE or find comfort in-- A FAT, DARK-SKINNED, BLACK WOMAN, OVER-SEXED, WITH A BIG MOUTH; I am a slim, dark-skinned woman, Ivy-League educated, some would say shy and married and I can't watch a simple movie without their throwing in this mammy stereotype. Could you imagine if nearly every movie coming out had a cameo of a Jewish stereotype!?!?!?!? It just wouldn't happen.

What a narcissistic skank this woman is. She has screwed over everyone who has ever got close to her (including Heather Locklear). Her show is crap, she's a terrible example as a mother and needs to let this whole thing go for the sake of her children, but no she won't. The 15 minutes of fame no matter how pathetic and shameful it is, is all she is about. Wish she and that horrible train wreck of a crap show would just disappear.

Haven't we all said stupid things to our significant other, in person or on a message? This was supposed to be a private conversation. Charlie was stupid to leave the message because things seemed pretty bad between them at that time. And Denise is a tacky, attention-starved little girl. I found this story eye-catching for a millisecond till I read that the message was THREE YEARS old. Emotions were high, he was stupid, but she is far worse grabbing for any attention she can get. Keep working on your show Denise (which I do not and will not watch by the way) and show America's men what a fine catch you are. JEESH!!!

Neither of them deserve those kids! What charlie said was inexcusable, no matter the excuse. Denise isn't any better--that woman has a screw loose. Plus why release it to the media and fuel this one? Why not be a bigger person and focus on the children, who are stuck in the middle of this, instead of focusing on what next blow you are going to lob at your ex. Both of them are bad parents.
