Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas singer has a solo album, The Dutchess, dropping tomorrow and already has a number one hit with her single "London Bridge." (Is it annoying? Is it catchy? We can’t tell.)
The 31-year-old singer recently gave an interview to the NYC gay paper (gayper!) Homo Xtra, the self-proclaimed “Totally Biased, Politically Incorrect Party Paper," in which she talks about being on the dole, on drugs, and even has some choice words for our ilk. She asks of bloggers, “What are you doing other than sitting there behind your computers and talking sh-t about people?” Yeah, that’s basically it.
Highlights from the interview below.
On meth:
“In my experience, ecstasy led to crystal meth, and I just think that people don’t know how addictive that drug is. It’s so cunning because it’s such a fun drug at first. You lose weight and look great for a while, but I don’t care if it takes six months or five years, it will creep up on you. Don’t be fooled and think you’re special.”
On bloggers and “internet haters”:
“I just think, ‘Wow, I’ve worked so hard for this, but what are you doing other than sitting there behind your computers and talking shit about people?’ If people don’t like me, fine, but don’t dis people if you’re not getting off your ass and doing something about your own life.”
On her vices:
"I definitely am still that girl who gets home and goes straight to Jack in the Box or Taco Bell right after I land at the airport."
On toning her bod regularly at the gym:
“If I don’t, it’s not so Fergalicious.”
On keeping it real:
"I was collecting unemployment when I joined Black Eyed Peas, so I really appreciate the worth of things."
On her one year anniversary with boyfriend Josh Duhamel:
“We’ll probably go to a nice dinner, and I don’t know if we want to do much else. I think we’ll be anxious to get back home!”
On rumors the group is breaking up:
“We’re not breaking up! We say it at every show because it’s always the question.”

I would have to say that when Fergie talked about the bloggers she hit it right on the nose. She has a great voice and she is beautiful. Of course she is 31! She was born in 1975..you do the math. Plus if she looks a little older to you it could be because of the meth she used to do. Meth can make people's skin change..especially if you do it for a long time. I am so glad she doesn't do that anymore. You have a great voice Fergie and I think you are AWESOME!

I am so happy for Josh and Fergie and their two year anniversary. And bash London Bridge all you want, it overtook Beyounce on the charts and was number one! Her new CD is totally hot! She has beautiful ballads on it. She has worked hard and is so sweet and real in interviews, and doesn't use Josh to be famous, unlike that fake Jessica Simpson or Paris HIlton who do nothing but use their personal life for fame. Congrats to Fergie, her new CD rocks!

Um, hate to tell you, but she could very well be 31. If she did meth and other drugs, more than likely she AGED. My best friend was a meth addict for about a year or so and used other drugs, and unfortunately, she aged and had skin problems for a while. I am glad she is still here to live to tell about it, though, just like Fergie.
I thought Josh broke up with Fergie and had another woman????? I am confused on that.
I think her response to us "bloggers" was funny..she made a good point.

People really do need to chill when others are giving their opinions. Thank you, Blog Avenger. Just because someone has a different opinion, doesn't mean you have to jump down their throats, no matter how "rude" or "cruel" they're being. There are sometimes when people say bad things about the celebrities that I like, but I really don't care, and sometimes I think it's funny. First off I want to say that I think Fergie's cute. I know for a fact that she did get rhinoplasty, but who cares? If it works for her, cool. As for London Bridge, it gets a bit repetitious (if that's how you spell it), but it's okay. Give her some credit though, she stopped using drugs that's a good thing on top of the fact that she is being honest. That's new for Hollywood. Her boyfriend is definately a cutie.
As far as all the hatred towards each other and the stars-you folks are out of control and it is amusing at first but gets really old really fast. Try giving props for once or just not saying anything, sometimes it makes YOU look better. There is nothing weak about being nice, ya know. Try it sometime.
