Ariel Winter is slowly revealing the meaning behind her three tattoos.
The Modern Family star, 18, posted a close-up shot of her second inking, a block of black letters on the side of her torso, via Instagram on Wednesday, April 13.
“My second and most special tattoo, the initials of five of the most important beings in my life: my nieces and nephew,” she began her caption of the black and white pic.
But it’s not just the idea behind the letters that’s important, it’s also the placement. “Their initials are on my ribcage, on the side where my heart is,” she continued. “They are my inspiration, and my reason for living. Love these babies more than anything and proud to have their initials forever on my body.”
She then listed out each of their names, one by one. “Dakota Patrice Workman Skylar Athena Gray Parker Eleni Gray Demetra Eleni Workman Asher Ruben Gray,” she wrote.
Only a week earlier, Winter explained the significance of the scripted writing on her hip. “‘Love Risks Everything And Asks For Nothing in Greek,'” she tweeted in response to a fan.
However, the Sofia the First voice actress’ first-ever tattoo remains a mystery. “Peep tattoo 1 of 3 😈🙈 @_dr_woo_ is a master 🙌,” she wrote when she first admitted to getting body art on March 29.
