Gwyneth Paltrow has conquered TV, the big screen, the Internet, the book publishing world, and now she’s moving on to…strip malls? According to Cosmopolitan.com, the actress, mom of two, and modern Renaissance woman is opening up a blow dry bar, a la Rachel Zoe‘s Dream Dry in NYC, in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The blow dry bar is a joint venture with her business partner and trainer Tracy Anderson and stylist David Babali, and will be located close to Anderson’s new fitness studio. In fact, both are slated to open April 4.
A source tells Us Weekly that Paltrow’s expansion into the lifestyle categories isn’t done yet and, in fact, she’s essentially buliding a mini mall: “It’s going to have a Tracy Anderson gym, a dry bar, a healthy restaurant with Mario Batali and a nail salon.”
The 40-year-old actress has been dipping a toe into the lifestyles category ever since creating Goop, her website devoted to spreading her best tips for living the good life, from childrearing advice to haute-couture recommendations. (Paltrow recently shared $450,000 worth of spring wardrobe essentials). “She’s trying to help the entire world with things she has learned over the years,” another source tells Us. “She knows what she’s talking about because it’s worked for her. It is all stuff people can do to change their lives for the better that she tried herself.”
