Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Aesha Scott and Joe Bradley have broken their silence on Nathan Gallagher‘s arrest for domestic violence by defending his ex Gael Cameron.
“Can people please give Gael some GRACE!?” Aesha wrote via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, September 23. “That poor woman has been through hell and back the last two years, a hell most of you attacking her from your high horse at home have no real idea about. During this time she was being fed so many lies day after day, she didn’t really understand what was going on in so many different areas.”
Aesha showed her support for Gael, adding, “I will always stand by her side, because she is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever come across in my lifetime.”
She concluded: “And yes, I know she went to Croatia and agreed to go onto a public forum where people watch and have opinions, but again, you all have no clue what steps led to that and followed that. Please be kind.”
Joe, for his part, reposted Aesha’s statement on his own Story.
The subtle show of support comes after a heated fight between Nathan and Joe — with Gael present — aired on the Monday, September 21, episode of the Bravo show.
Fans saw Nathan bring Gael to a night out with the crew, but Joe felt nervous about spending time with them both after an offscreen falling out. The lead deckhand largely avoided Nathan and Gael until the car ride home.
Gael tried to address the awkward tension between her and Joe before the situation escalated and Nathan got involved. The men started to butt heads as a “To Be Continued” message flashed on screen.
The clash aired after news broke last month that Nathan was arrested on domestic violence charges in Australia in December 2025 for an alleged incident with an unidentified 29-year-old woman.
According to a police report viewed by Us, Nathan was charged with “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing] a person without consent and common assault.”
Nathan was eventually granted conditional bail. He was later convicted on three counts of domestic violence this month after he failed to appear in court.
“I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes, and I will take responsibility for my own actions,” Nathan told Rolling Stone in an August statement. “I will not accept being portrayed solely through one account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it. I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context.”
Along with his arrest, Us confirmed that Nathan is the subject of an Apprehended Violence Application that was filed on Gael’s behalf in New South Wales. Gael addressed the pair’s tumultuous relationship in a statement that same month.
“Hey guys, I just want to say thank you so much for the support you’ve shown for Kayden and I,” she wrote via her Instagram Stories. “It’s been a tough season, but I have been using the past few months to quietly heal and rebuild for little man and myself. I really appreciate the love you have sent our way, especially while everything that’s come to light, and I’m really working on finding myself again and moving forward.”
Us confirmed earlier this month that Bravo fired Nathan in light of his domestic violence arrest.
