Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher has been convicted of three domestic violence offences against ex-girlfriend Gael Cameron after failing to appear in a Sydney courtroom.

According to court records viewed by News 24, Gallagher, 27, was not present when his matter was called at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1.

“We believe the defendant is offshore at this time,” prosecutor Sergeant Aruzza told the court via the Daily Mail.

The court also heard that Gallagher was no longer represented by the lawyers he had been engaging until a few weeks ago.

Judge Janine Lacy said immigration records showed Gallagher was “currently overseas.” She decided to convict him in his absence and issued a warrant for his arrest.

“I find the offences proven,” the judge told the court, according to the Daily Mail, which noted that Cameron, 30, declined to comment on the case when approached outside of the courtroom.

Us has reached out to Bravo for comment. Gallagher is currently appearing in season 12 of the network’s hit reality show Below Deck Mediterranean.

Us previously confirmed that Gallagher was arrested in December 2025 for domestic violence stemming from an incident that took place at the former couple’s Melrose Park home. He was charged in Australia with “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing] a person without consent and common assault,” according to police in New South Wales.

Per the police statement, Gallagher was involved in an alleged incident that transpired after Christmas. He was charged after allegedly assaulting an unidentified 29-year-old woman at an apartment building in the Sydney area. There were no reports of any injuries sustained by either party.

“I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t,” Gallagher told Rolling Stone in a statement published on August 26. “I made mistakes, and I will take responsibility for my own actions.”

He continued, “I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it. I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context.”

Gallagher added that he doesn’t “believe the public has heard the full story surrounding what happened.”

The Bravo reality star began dating Cameron after meeting as deckhands during season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean in 2024. The pair went on to welcome a baby boy in June 2025.

Although the current season of Below Deck Mediterranean documents the duo raising their child together, the pair have since broken up.
