Nobody Wants This has officially been renewed for season 4 — but is every cast member coming back after offscreen drama over differing political views?

The hit show, which premiered in 2024, follows the love story between agnostic Joanne (Kristen Bell) and unconventional rabbi Noah (Adam Brody). While Nobody Wants This has resonated with viewers throughout the years, the show has also made headlines because of Brody’s outspoken support for Palestine.

Brody divided his crew and cast when he gave his opinion on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

“I have spoken a lot about it privately. I haven’t spoken much about it publicly,” he told GQ in October 2026. “Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine.”

He continued: “It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago. I’m hopeful that another administration can really do some good and correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is.”

In response, Erin Foster, who cocreated the show, spoke out on the “complicated” situation regarding her and Brody’s different views.

“I think our work environment, our set is very similar to dinner tables around the world where people are having debate and discussion and disagreeing,” she said on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast at the time. “While I love Adam, I also disagree with him. And that’s OK.”

Tovah Feldshuh, who plays Noah’s mom, Bina, also got candid about the issue she took with Brody.

“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild,” Feldshuh recently told The New York Post in October 2026. “It’s right out of [Adolf] Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator.”

Feldshuh has since clarified that there were no issues between the cast on set. Now that Netflix has renewed the show, keep scrolling to see who is and isn’t expected to return:

Kristen Bell

There would be no Nobody Wants This without Joanne so Bell is returning in season 4.

Adam Brody

Brody was listed in the press release for season 4 after both Foster and Feldshuh expressed frustration with his comments about Palestine.

Justine Lupe

Season 3 ended on a low note for Morgan so Lupe will once again be front and center when the show returns.

Timothy Simons

Simons’ character, Sasha, also has a lot to figure out in his personal life in season 4.

Jackie Tohn

Tohn’s fan-favorite character is returning in season 4 after Esther found out about Sasha and Morgan’s hookup.

Stephanie Faracy

Faracy is reprising her role as Lynn in season 4.
