She's back and better than ever -- thanks in part to her longtime colorist Michael Canale. One day after Jennifer Aniston's stylist Chris McMillan put the finishing touches on the 44-year-old star's new 'do, Canale exclusively revealed to Us Weekly the process it took to give the Horrible Bosses 2 actress a "bright" new look.
"[McMillan] cut it short with an a-line back to it so it's got the drop front, like Victoria Beckham but not so exaggerated," the Canale Salon owner told Us. "We did it all natural. We didn't use any toners on it. We just left it baby blonde, and I took a lot of the yellow out of the top section, then we re-blended the side."
"[He] did the new look about two days ago and I did the new color about a week or a week and a half ago. And then we reemphasized the haircut," Canale continued.
Earlier today, McMillan shared a picture of Aniston from Friday's touch-up via Instagram. In the snapshot, the We're the Millers star smiled big as she showed off the chin length hairstyle. Arriving for the cut and dye job, Aniston had her hair pinned to one side, so they strategically colored her locks so she could still use hair accessories afterward. "You can't pony it because there's no back section to it. You'd be using more of a barrette or a comb accessory or something like that," Canale explained.
"It's basically a part highlight so it's a heavy highlighting through the part, less highlights when you move toward the back section," he added. "Instead of just those two big streaks in front, it moves from dark to lighter" for a "blonder front."
So, what does Justin Theroux's fiancee think of her new bob? "[She said] 'I love it,' Canale gushed. "You outdid yourself.'"
