Raised in Washington D.C., Justin Theroux was born on August 10, 1971. He started his career after college in off-Broadway plays. Theroux then made appearances in TV shows such as Sex and the City and Ally McBeal. He also appeared on HBO’s crtically acclaimed series Six Feet Under for a handful of episodes.
Theroux made the jump to the big screen in 1997 when he appeared in Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion. He also played the villain in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
In addition to his appearances on screen, Theroux is an accomplished screenwriter. He wrote scripts for Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2 and Rock of Ages.
In 2011, Theroux ended his relationship with stylist Heidi Bivens, his girlfriend of 14 years. Shortly after, he and his Wanderlust costar Jennifer Aniston took their relationship public. On August 10, 2012 — Theroux’s 41st birthday — he asked Aniston to be his wife.
