Kerry Washington
With roles in Save the Last Dance (2001), Ray (2004) and Django Unchained (2012), Kerry Washington is best known for starring on the Shonda Rhimes show Scandal. Washington played Olivia Pope on the ABC series from 2012 to 2018, earning Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
Washington’s other credits include the HBO movie Confirmation (2016), the Hulu miniseries Little Fires Everywhere (which she starred in and executive produced alongside Reese Witherspoon in 2020) and the Netflix movie The Prom (2020).
Washington has won five NAACP Image Awards, including the President’s Award in 2013, and she founded her production company, Simpson Street, in 2016. She married actor and former NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha, with whom she shares two children, in 2013. Washington is also stepmother to Asomugha’s daughter from a previous relationship.
