Sean Combs, a.k.a Diddy, grew up in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
He attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he interned at Uptown Records and was promoted to an A&R executive. Soon after, he left to form Bad Boy Records where he signed rapper Notorious B.I.G. and produced hits for major artists including Janet Jackson.
Diddy is also involved with the Sean John clothing line and the fragrance Unforgivable. He produced the reality shows Making the Band and Run’s House for MTV and has appeared on Broadway and in several films.
After meeting Jennifer Lopez on the set of a music video, the two dated for two years before splitting in 2001.
Diddy shared children Quincy, Christian and twin daughters Jesse and D’Lila with Kim Porter, who died from pneumonia in November 2018.
The New York native shares son Justin with ex Misa Hylton and daughter Chance, 16, with ex Sarah Chapman.
He announced that he welcomed his seventh child, a baby girl named Love Sean Combs, in December 2022 but did not reveal her mother’s identity.
