Jennifer Garner was born in Houston, Texas in April 1972. After working on several smaller projects, she found her first big break after landing a recurring role on the WB’s hit show Felicity as Hannah Bibb.
Garner went on to star as Ashton Kutcher girlfriend in the 2000 comedy Dude, Where’s My Car? but was thrust into the spotlight after portraying Sidney Bristow in ABC’s Alias, a role that nabbed her multiple awards nominations during its time on air from 2001 to 2006, including a 2002 Golden Globe for Best Actress.
The actress has also made a name for herself on the big screen starring in a variety of films, including 13 Going on 30 (2004), The Invention of Lying (2009), Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past (2009), Valentine’s Day (2010) and Love, Simon (2018). In 2013, her portrayal of Dr. Eve Saks in the Dallas Buyers Club earned her a Screen Actor’s Guild Awards nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. She also starred in 2021’s Yes Day and 2022’s The Adam Project.
Garner met her first husband, scott foley, on the set of Felicity in the late ’90s. The twosome married in 2000 but called it quits three years later. She then moved on with her Alias costar Michael Vartan, whom she dated from August 2003 to mid-2004.
After establishing a bond on the sets of Pearl Harbor and Daredevil, Garner and Ben Affleck sparked a romance in 2004. The pair tied the knot in June 2005 and share three children together, daughters Violet and Seraphina, who were born in 2005 and 2009 respectively, and son Samuel, who was born in 2012. In June 2015, the duo announced their split and finalized their divorced three years later.
Garner has been dating John Miller, a businessman, since 2018.
