Ben Affleck

Born on August 15, 1972 and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ben Affleck grew up alongside pal Matt Damon. The actors hit the fame jackpot after cowriting and costarring in the Academy Award-winning Good Will Hunting in 1997.

Affleck dated Gwyneth Paltrow briefly in 1998. Four years later, in 2002, he began dating Jennifer Lopez; he proposed later that year. Citing intense media scrutiny, the couple — known by the public as “Bennifer” — called off their wedding in 2004.

He went on to marry his Daredevil costar Jennifer Garner in June 2005 in a top-secret ceremony in Turks and Caicos. The couple has two daughters, Violet and Seraphina, and a son, Samuel. They announced their separation in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2018.

Affleck started dating Lindsay Shookus in 2017 but the pair split after one year together. He later sparked romance rumors with his Deep Water costar Ana De Armas in March 2020. The couple parted ways in January 2021.

Affleck rekindled his romance with Lopez in May 2021 after she called off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez one month prior. Lopez confirmed her engagement to Affleck in April 2022 via her “On The J. Lo” newsletter. Us confirmed Affleck and Lopez wed in July 2022.

Affleck has continued to land leading roles in blockbuster movies, including Argo (which he directed), Gone Girl and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
