Olivia Wilde

Born Olivia Jane Cockburn, actress Olivia Wilde adopted her stage name in high school and began her acting career with appearances on Skin and The O.C. Wilde spent her childhood in Washington, D.C., and summers in Ardmore, Ireland, with her family. She began acting in the early 2000s, landing early appearances in films like The Girl Next Door (2004) and Alpha Dog (2006) before establishing herself in mainstream Hollywood.

Wilde went on to star alongside Hugh Laurie on House from 2007 to 2011, later appearing on series including Doll & Em and Vinyl. On the big screen, she’s appeared in films like Tron: Legacy (2010), In Time (2011), Life Itself (2018), How It Ends (2021) and The Invite (2026).

Wilde later branched out into producing, writing and directing, also contributing to various documentary films. Her 2019 directorial debut, Booksmart, was followed by her 2022 thriller Don’t Worry Darling, in which she starred with Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. (Wilde and Styles sparked a romance on set, dating from early 2021 to late 2022.)

Wilde married Italian prince Tao Ruspoli at age 19 in 2003. Following their 2011 divorce, Wilde began dating Jason Sudeikis, to whom she got engaged in 2013. The pair welcomed son Otis in 2014 and daughter Daisy in 2016 before splitting in 2020. She briefly moved on with actor Dane DiLiegro before she began dating art dealer Caspar Jopling in 2026.
