Hold on to your flower crowns — Coachella is approaching!
Vanessa Hudgens stepped out with longer locks in Los Angeles on April 2. The waist-length ‘do is drastically different from her wavy lob that hit her shoulders four days earlier.
“Annnnnd I can’t help myself. When the weather heats up, my hair gets long,” the Powerless actress, 27, explained via Instagram. “I can be a lioness.”
Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee, celebrity hairstylists and co-founders of NINE ZERO ONE salon, are the hands responsible for Hudgens’ new look.
“She wanted to wear her hair long and free. So we decided to embrace her natural curl and add in naturally curly extensions,” Lee dishes to Us Weekly. “She was so excited to say ‘I woke up like this.’ This is a perfect wash and wear look and a great way to keep your hair healthy!”
Hudgens installed her extensions just in time for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which kicks off on April 15. She’s attended the Indio, California event four times in the last five years.
But if she was trying to go incognito, she blew up her own spot! “I love music festivals. I really do,” she told ET. “It’s just hard now because everyone knows that I go.”
The star, who just wrapped the first season of upcoming NBC show Powerless in Vancouver, had proudly sported a lob for over a year. She played around with the look — curling it, dying it, and flat-ironing it pin-straight.
