Megan Fox: "I Could Survive a Week Without Eating"

Well, here's one way to maintain a thin Hollywood physique.

Says Megan Fox, 24, in the June issue of Allure (on stands May 25), "I'll starve to death before I'll cook for myself. I think I could survive a week without eating.

She has mixed feelings about plastic surgery, though.

"I would encourage anyone to first speak with a therapist, to try and figure out where this want comes from, because a lot of times it's not related to your teeth or your nose or your chin -- the surgery is not going to alleviate that insecurity for you," she says. "If, then, you feel, 'This is something that I want to do', then do it. It's amazing that we have the technology to do the stuff that we do."

Fox -- who is on-again with beau Brian Austin Green -- says she prefers to spend time with herself.

"I could go days, weeks, without talking to another human being," she swears. "I hate receiving compliments; I hate being told I'm talented or people think I'm going to be a movie star. I always feel that it's forced and fake."

She says she'd like to cause "physical harm" to the photographer who snapped topless photos of her while she was filming Passion Play.

"I'm not a f--ing reality-TV star that's courting the paparazzi and wants my f—ing picture taken all the time. I'm at my job and I'm trying to play a character and I'm trying to be serious, and this is the sh-- that's happening to me. It makes me furious," says the actress, who dropped the F-bomb 24 times during the interview.

Fox admits she has obsessive compulsive disorder. "This is a sickness, I have an illness -- this is not OK anymore," she says.

She refuses to use public toilets without covers or eat with restaurant silverware.

"Every time someone uses a bathroom and they flush, all the bacteria is shot into the air," she says. "Putting my mouth where a million other mouths have been, just knowing all the bacteria that you carry in your mouth? Ucch!"

So I am assuming that she isn't putting her mouth around the urine dispenser... ;-) She may be a germaphobe, but OCD is highly unlikely.

most people who get sick often are the one's who are always obsessed with everything being clean. if you're always disinfecting stuff and that your body won't be able to build up a strong immune system to fight off diseases when you do come in contact. everyone (especially young kids) have to be exposed to a certain amount of germs to keep their bodies healthy. megan doesn't seem like a very healthy girl, mentally or physically

Is anyone else concerned that this is under the "healthy lifestyle" tab? This is an incredibly unhealthy lifestyle that US Weekly is highlighting to many impressionable women. Shame on you, US Weekly! Shame.

It's a bit disturbing that celebs announce their mental disorders like it's a badge of honor. RIDICULOUS. NOBODY SHOULD KNOW THIS INFORMATION. CONFIDENTIALITY LAWS PREVENT THE LEAKAGE OF INFO AND CELEBS JUST GO RIGHT OUT AND BROADCAST IT NOT EVEN CARING THAT THE PUBLIC KNOWS SUCH "CONFIDENTIAL INFO". ADMITTING OCD (IF SHE ACTUALLY HAS IT AND IS NOT DOING IT FOR ATTN) OR ANY OTHER MENTAL ILLNESS IS WRONG. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. THE PUBLIC DOESN'T NEED TO KNOW AND NOBODY CARES.

what did she do with her nose? why is it so flared and pointy? her original nose was much better. and she says that she can go days without talking to someone yet she always doing interviews and exposing her true side to people she doesn't even know? she's just another attention seeker

i highly doubt she has OCD, angelina once had a mental disorder now megan suddenly has one, this girl just wants attention, she wants to keep people interested but the fact is she is not that interesting, just a pretty face

what an annoying whiny little girl. stop complaining you bimbo! life has been good to you, graciously accept compliments and consider other people's feelings, then you might start to see the good in everything. and if you don't like the paps quit bringing attention to yourself, stop all publicity stunts, media interviews and stop signing on to blockbusters. you can complain, complain and complain but this is all your doing. please spare us as most of us have actually "real" problems in our lives

Hmmm I used to hate her cause succumbed to fixing her lips but from what she says, I like that the way she just keeps it real and doesn't care what others think.

I am genuinely curious: Has Megan ever suffered from an eating disorder? She has so many of the markers that seem to signify that someone has a huge potential to succumb to the thought and behavior patterns of an eating problem. First, she says it herself: Not interested in cooking, easy not to eat for long periods. Also, preferring solitude, probable repressed anger, and definitely, some semblance of OCD. Again, she lays all of this out herself, and sometimes, that can mean that a person has, is, or is secretly contemplating and maybe even entering into a distorted relationship with food. Been there, done that, and always gotta watch my own step. Hope she does not have the issue.

so go on and stop eating and put and end to the space you take up on the planet! no one cares. so tired of the bones under tissue paper look producers continue to peddle.

Just when I forgot all about Megan Fox, she pops up again out of nowhere. I think it's just a publicity stunt. I haven't seen her movies and don't feel she's a very good actress. She's only 24 and to have such issues - wow. If she'd rather starve than cook for herself, more power to her. OCD is a real mental illness and she should get herself some help. I'm sorry, but if she doesn't like being photographed, she should be in another industry. There's nothing wrong with having plastic surgery, as long as you do it for yourself and not to please someone else. If she would rather be alone, fine, but I don't see why it's news.

Does she have OCD or is she just another prima donna pain in the a**. Hmmmm.....

  • May 19, 2010 - 12:54am Michael

To I'm not Recep's girlfriend: What is wrong with you calling Megan Fox all those names? Are you sick? Do you need help? I think she's hot and I'd date her whether she can cook or not!

  • May 19, 2010 - 12:52am Jen

I agree, I also hate cooking. Thank God my boyfriend loves to cook, if not for him I think I would starve.

I agree with her about the bathroom and flushing. If the LID is NOT closed, ALL the crap bacteria in it flies up into the air and rests on everything around it. THIS is why most people are sick with colds and flus. 20/20 had a show where a specialist q-tipped everything in the bathroom, and the tooth brushes by the sink, uncovered, had feces bacteria on them and then people use them in their mouths. You're eating your family's poop to be exact. Most public toilets don't have lids, I try not to use, but if no choice, I hold my breathe, don't touch anything wash my hands good, don't touch the door knob and get out fast. At home make sure everyone SHUTS the lid BEFORE flushing and illness will be cut down. I have a sign on ny toilet at home to shut the lid before flushing. Sick that you have to tell people (company)this. People are filthy, yuck. I don't touch anything, she's right. Smart girl.

  • May 18, 2010 - 11:18pm Skate

Well I can go a month without breathing.

  • May 18, 2010 - 10:57pm It had one good element

I'm honestly glad that she is speaking out about having OCD. Mental disorders are still taboo, and as long as they remain taboo people wont get the help they need. So while I disliked the interview for the most part, I did like her honesty about her OCD.
