Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin have called it quits.

As first reported by Us Weekly, the Golden Globe-nominated actress' rep confirmed the couple's breakup to New York Post's Page Six on Monday; they first began dating in 2002.

"The split was amicable, and they remain close friends," Kunis' rep said.

According to a source, the couple went their separate ways months ago but decided to keep it quiet while Kunis, 27, promoted Black Swan.

The actress has been open about her fear of settling down with Culkin, 30, telling BlackBook in December 2009 that the prospect of marriage didn't appeal to her.

"Not to say that I don't believe in it, but it's just not something that's important to me," Kunis said of tying the knot. "But I will have children. I'm too selfish to have them now, but when I do, I don't feel like I need to be married. I need to have a person in my life who will care for me and my children -- nothing else."

It time they called it quits....she's trying to do something in with her life and he hasn't really worked since 10 years old. They're such a mismatch. She needs a man like Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy creator) smart, funny, cute...They look adorable together. They can take over for brangelina...so tired of lookingat those two and their managerie (sp?)..Mila and Seth are perfect together just look at the photo that ran of them at the Chrysalis Ball party...the cutest...I hope it happens for them.....

Wow. I didn't know they were an item either. Will I lose any sleep over their breakup? Nah...and marriage should be a sacred thing, all about trust and more than just a sex tingle to switch partners 'til you drop. I can say it, and believe it even though my marriage was about pain and violence on the part of my husband. My fault for not paying attention to the warning signs.

If I told you how easy it is to get a job in this recession, you wouldn't believe me. But the truth is more employers are going online to find people just like you and me who are ready to work at a good job. The only thing that makes sense is to stop wasting time filling out a dozen applications and going from one boring low paying job to another. I found this site that pretty much matches you up with your dream job that is available. I have found it very helpful. Go to GetMeJobNow.çom

Yay! Now she can be with me! LOL But seriously, both of them are cool, and I wish them both luck in finding happiness. And if someone doesn't feel like marriage is important to them, people shouldn't bash them for saying so. Marriage isn't perfect and "sacred" as religious nuts make it out to be. Especially to people who've been in or observed the worst relationships around them. It's not JUST a Hollywood thing for people to not be too thrilled about marriage, it's way too overrated by those who both protect it's "sacredness", and by those who are denied it. I say if two consenting adults who love each other want to be together, they should just be together, no matter what the government, the church, or anybody else approves or disapproves of.

Boy Bonnie, nothing like bashing the girl for being honest!!! Let's all go back to the 50's where girls should just shut up & stay in the kitchen! I say kudos to her for having more goals in life than it seems you have! I don't see where she said anything about needing anyone to support her or future children. I know I did a hell of lot as a single mother (by choice I might add) than I would have if I stayed with my ex & believe me my boys are better for it too!

Gee nothing like wasting 8 years of your life with someone who isn't interested in marrying you, it must be the Hollywood way

You can't possibly mistake him for handsome, hunky Hayden Christensen, good grief! Hayden is MUCH more of everything than child star MacCauley! As for thier marriage, talk about marrying too young...they were warned but did it anyway!

Mila Kunis is another Hollywood brat who doesn't want typical marriage but would rather have a child out of wedlock and have whoever take care of her and her brat. Macaulay is better off without her. Macaulay has been with a big family, she on the other hand has to grow up. I guess when she is finished screwing around with whoever, has her little brat, maybe she will finally realize that she could have had a home with some one who loved her. typical.

I always confused these two with Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen. Both are odd couples.

  • January 03, 2011 - 11:44am Jen Isotalo

Aww, this makes me sad. I loved them together!

  • January 03, 2011 - 11:24am Alissa Wieczorek

I always thought they seemed like an awkward couple in the first place; I guess they finally realized they were not meant for each other. After eight years it can be difficult to act on those feelings. I hope they can both move on to find happiness!
