What's Salma Hayek's secret for always looking red carpet ready?

"I've been doing juice cleanses for 15 years," she tells UsMagazine.com.

And now the curvy actress, 43, has collaborated with pal and professional juicer Eric Helms to create Cooler Cleanse, a three or five-day juice detox delivery program.

"If I've been indulging in rich foods, a cleanse is a wonderful way to hit the reset button," the Grown Ups star tells Us.

The two taste-tested each blend and worked with several New York-based nutritionists and vegan chefs to develop the juice and raw-food menus, opting to only use premium-grade, organic and sustainably-grown ingredients.

So how exactly does the Cooler Cleanse work?

To begin the juice cleanse -- which costs $58 per day -- detoxers eliminate processed foods, caffeinated drinks, alcohol, dairy products and sushi. Those on the program receive a home delivery of six drinks -- including almond milk and watermelon lime -- that add up to less than 1,200 calories a day.

"I always lose weight," promises Hayek, who complements her cleanse by doing light yoga.

But Helms, who owns NYC's Juice Generation, points out that weight loss isn't the only benefit of the cleanse.

"You'll have renewed energy," he tells Us.

Adds Hayek: "My skin glows when I finish day three. And it inspires me to think about what I put in my body."

I tried the Master Cleanse, and it was OK. But I now have a better cleanse. Im a very healthy person. I am on my second Dr Max Powers "15 Day Cleanse" and it has really been worth it. I am down 12 lbs! My body feels great, I am not hungry at all. I just want to say for anyone thinking about thisâ?¦JUST DO IT =) I recommend the cleanse, its awesome.

I've lost 10 pounds just by COMPLETELY eliminating SODA. I feel SO much better. A sugary drink is not worth the 32 glasses of water it takes to eliminate it's negative effects on your body. Drinking 1 can of soda a day leads to 15 pounds of weight gained in a year. I should have kicked my addition to soda a long time ago. I've never felt better.

i love salma hayek but this is just another way for her to make good money off of people who want a quick solution that will not last.... start living healthy people and all the good things will follow, like better skin, lower cholest., smaller size...etc....

How cool! I love doing healthy things for my skin and I guess I never realized how beneficial a cleanse could be for this! I would like to try a juice cleanse but I worry about any ramifications from it. I do eat lots of whole foods, drink water throughout the day and take my daily Vidazorb probiotic which I am really hoping these help my body with everyday toxin removal and cleansing. I am interested in this but hesitate out of fear. Good to know about it though!

I have tried every fad diet out there-- Atkins, South Beach, diet pills, etc. I'd lose about 10 pounds in the first couple of weeks, but soon after I would put the weight back on and then some. I completely respect cleanses for religious or medical reasons, but for a long term weight-loss solution, let's be honest... humans cannot live on a liquid diet alone. I've lost almost 40 pounds in the past 6 months by just eating right, exercising and keeping a food journal. And the best part is I've been able to keep the weight off. Granted, it's not as fast as diet pills and cleanses, but I feel great and I know that I can stick with this for a long time. P.S.- $58 a day for juice is a joke. Cut down on fatty foods and soda and be more active. Walking or running outside is free and it's better for you in the long run.

Looked up the cost and it is $58/day. REALLY!! Oh my gosh, I may spend that on a weeks worth of food.

This could be done more naturally; just buy the juicer and the vegetables/fruits. Then, go to any vegetarian website and find the recipe. However, need to go by the rules; if first timer, go basic. Too much juice, especially if green, can make you sick.
