I recently learned that Ellen Degeneris (spelling ?) donated $10,000 worth of pet food to our local Humane Society of the White Mountains of Arizona. This was a much needed donation which all our dogs and cats without current homes will enjoy. This year has been a financially difficult one, starting with a fire two years ago which destroyed the thrift store which supported the Humane Society. The terrible Wallow fire this year brought many homeless animals in search of shelter. Another wonderful donor to our local Society has been David Spade. We own these two people a lot of thanks. My family has taken in several abandoned dogs.
