Not your typical Bachelorette bash! Former Bachelorette Ashley Hebert, now married and expecting a son with husband J.P. Rosenbaum, celebrated her first pregnancy with an intimate baby shower in New York City last month — and Us Weekly has all the exclusive details and pictures from the happy gathering.
Hosted by Minted at NYC’s General Assembly Restaurant on July 19, and captured on film for posterity by Kristy May Photography, the travel-themed shower featured decorations by Ara Farnam of Rock Paper Scissors Events, as well as food, cocktails, and mocktails by General Assembly. Guests (including fellow Bachelor alum Ashley Spivey) feasted on mini cheeseburgers, hot dogs on a stick, eclairs, macaroons, and brownie bites.
“The food was spectacular!” Hebert gushed to Us.
As was the company. “I really wanted it to be intimate, so we had about 20 guests including our families, and only closest friends,” the season seven Bachelorette said of her short invite list. “I felt like I was able to spend time with everyone. It was great!”
Married since 2012, New York residents Hebert and Rosenbaum first announced they were expecting back in March. A month later, they revealed their little bundle of joy would be a boy.
“We haven’t finalized a name yet, but are trying to decide from a few,” the mom-to-be told Us. “The good thing is that J.P. and I have very similar taste in names, so hopefully we can finalize soon.”
One thing they’ve already got a pretty good handle on? Their son’s wardrobe. “It’s been so fun organizing all of his outfits and gear,” she shared. “I’ve been shopping for baby clothes ever since I found out I was having a boy, and let me say, this baby will have to do multiple outfit changes in order to wear everything once.”
He scored a pretty impressive haul at the shower, too. (Hebert is registered with NessaLeeBaby.com.) “We received some pretty amazing gifts for baby R,” the former reality star gushed. “He is so loved already! It’s hard to pick a favorite gift, but we love our Little Giraffe chenille blankets, lovie and towels, everything Nuna and 4moms, Gucci soft sole shoes, and Purebaby Crab sweater. I honestly love every gift we received.”
