Ashley Hebert was born in 1984 in Madawaska, Maine. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Maine, she went on to dental school at the University of Pennsylvania.
The 5’2″ brunette teaches jazz, ballet and hip-hop at her college and feels most confident when dancing.
In January 2011, she was a contestant on season 15 of The Bachelor. Although Hebert and Brad Womack showed initial chemistry, their relationship fell apart after the hometown dates when Hebert wouldn’t open up to the Texan heartthrob. Despite their chemistry, Womack sent Hebert home, leaving her heartbroken.
In May 2011, Hebert got a second chance at love as the new Bachelorette. Her intention was clear from the beginning of the season that she hoped to find her husband amongst her 25 potential suitors. She chose construction manager JP Rosenbaum on the August finale. The couple married in an ABC TV ceremony in December 2012. They went on to welcome son Fordham and daughter Essex in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
After nearly eight years of marriage, the pair announced in October 2020 that they were going their separate ways. Us Weekly broke the news the following August that Rosenbaum officially filed for divorce the previous month.
In October 2021, Hebert revealed she was dating again amid her divorce.
