Kate Gosselin rose to fame on the TLC reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8 alongside her husband, Jon, and their eight children: twins Mady and Cara and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. After divorcing Jon in 2009, Kate was granted primary custody of their children and starred on the renamed version of the show, Kate Plus 8, which ran for five seasons until 2017.
Jon and Kate have since endured a contentious and public custody battle in which both parties have made accusations of abuse and mistreatment. Despite Kate being granted primary custody, Hannah and Collin eventually moved in with Jon after drama with their mother.
Kate went on to participate on Dancing With the Stars, Celebrity Wife Swap, The Apprentice and Special Forces, as well as her own dating reality show, Kate Plus Date, which aired for one season in 2019.
