Nick Cannon began performing at 8 years old, eventually forming the rap group Da Bomb Squad and opening for acts like Will Smith and 98 Degrees. After graduating from high school, Cannon landed a role on Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy series All That.

Cannon starred on The Nick Cannon Show, which aired for two seasons from 2002 to 2003. He went on to create, produce and host MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, which premiered in 2005. Later in his career, he hosted America’s Got Talent and The Masked Singer, along with various shows associated with TeenNick, for which Cannon is a chairman. His film credits include Drumline (2002) and Love Don’t Cost a Thing (2003).

Cannon is the father of 12 children with six different women: twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, sons Golden and Rise and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, twins Zillion and Zion and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa, son Legendary with Bre Tiesi, daughter Onyx with LaNisha Cole and daughter Halo with Alyssa Scott.

In June 2021, Cannon and Scott welcomed their son, Zen, but he died five months later due to a brain tumor.
