Businessman Donald Trump was born June 14, 1946. Known for his real estate empire and often-mocked hairstyle, the chairman and CEO of the Trump Organization is also running to be the 45th President of the United States as the Republican Party candidate.
The mega-millionare married Ivana Trump in 1977, and the couple had three children together: Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. After his affair with Marla Maples, they divorced in 1992 before he married her the following year. The couple had one child, Tiffany, before divorcing in 1999.
The mogul began hosting a reality competition, NBC’s The Apprentice, in 2004, in which contestants vied for a coveted spot in his company. The show was a massive success, thanks in part to Trump’s token phrase, “You’re fired!”
In 2005, Trump married Melania Knauss, and the two later had a son, Barron.
The outspoken, hugely controversial public figure has lashed out at many celebrities throughout his career, most notably Rosie O’Donnell and former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
