Lea Michele

Born in the Bronx, N.Y. in 1986, Lea Michele was raised in Tenafly, New Jersey and attended Tenafly High School.

Michele began her career as a child actor in the ’90s, making her stage debut in Broadway’s famed Les Miserables at age 8. The young talent originated the Broadway role of Wendla in Spring Awakening and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work.

The actress went on to star in the ensemble Fox song-and-dance series Glee in 2009, where she played Rachel Berry, the perfectionist star of her high school glee club, receiving two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination for her work. Following the Fox show’s 2015 finale, Michele starred as Hester Ulrich in Scream Queens until 2016 and as Valentina Barella in The Mayor the following year.

The singer dated her Glee costar — and love interest — Cory Monteith until his death in July 2013. Four years later, Michele began a relationship with longtime friend Zandy Reich. The couple got engaged in April 2018 and wed in Napa, California, the following year. Their son, Ever, arrived in August 2020, four months after Michele’s pregnancy announcement. The family of three lives in Los Angeles.
