The gleeks are getting their wish for a Glee revival.

Disney confirmed in October 2026 that a Glee reboot is heading to Disney+ and Hulu, with original cocreator Ryan Murphy at the helm and original studio 20th Television attached to the project.

“Currently gleeking out!” the show’s official Instagram page wrote alongside a graphic that read, “It’s official. Glee is returning.”

Disney has not revealed cast or plot details, but Murphy has already been deep into the writing process.

“I just finished the script an hour ago. We have a script. Brad [Falchuk] and Ian [Brennan] and I, who wrote all the first two seasons, have written something,” Murphy told Entertainment Tonight in September 2026, adding that he’s been “in touch with around 10 of the original cast members” who were “enthusiastic about the idea” of a reboot.

Here’s what every member of the McKinley High glee club has said — or hasn’t said — about returning for the reboot:

Lea Michele

Michele played Rachel Berry in all six seasons of the original series and has made it clear she’s in.

“I love Glee. I will always love Glee. I love Ryan Murphy,” the actress told E! News in September 2026. “[The show] just holds such a special place in my heart for me. So, I will follow Ryan wherever he goes.”

Variety reported the next month that Michele was attached to reprise her role in the new series.

Becca Tobin

Tobin, who joined the series in season 4 as cheerleader Kitty Wilde and became a regular in season 5, said the reboot announcement prompted her anxiety.

“This gives me diarrhea,” she jokingly said on her “LadyGang” podcast in October 2026. “It’s a situation where I’m not an original cast member. I was not in season 1. I came in three seasons in. So, there’s no guarantee.”

As for the new series, Tobin theorized the writers to prioritize the original cast over the late arrivals.

“I know how incredibly challenging it’s going to be for them to weave in already these original cast members and the new people and the whatever. I don’t know what the plan is. I do know the original people will most likely be coming back. It’s not a mystery that Ryan has spoken to them.”

Dianna Agron

Agron, who starred as Quinn Fabray, has not publicly commented on the reboot, though she made a rare social media appearance in a TikTok video with singer Ben Platt the day the show was announced. In the footage, the duo lip-synched “Say A Little Prayer” as Agron busted out her dance moves from the OG series.

Heather Morris

Morris is ready to dust off Brittney Pierce’s dancing shoes once more.

“Yes, ladies and gentle men of women, rumors are true. Brittany S Pierce was in fact lost in the sewers for all these years,” she wrote via Instagram in October 2026. “But I’m here to inform you that she is alive and well… And back for more #Glee.”

Chord Overstreet

Overstreet, who appeared as Sam Evans, is eager to return.

“Reunited and it feels so good!” he tweeted in October 2026.

Amber Riley

There’s been no word yet from Riley, a.k.a. Mercedes Jones, about a potential return.

Chris Colfer

Colfer, who appeared as Kurt Hummel, has stayed quiet on whether he’ll be back.

Kevin McHale

McHale, who famously played Artie Abrams, has yet to address the reboot publicly.

Jenna Ushkowitz

Ushkowitz hasn’t weighed in about whether she’ll reprise her role as Tina Cohen-Chang.

Matthew Morrison

Morrison, who brought teacher Mr. Shue to life, has yet to comment on his potential involvement.

Jane Lynch

Lynch, the inimitable Coach Sue Sylvester, has remained silent on the subject.

Harry Shum Jr.

Shum Jr., who rose to fame playing dancer Mike Chang, also has not addressed the reboot plans.

Darren Criss

Criss (Blaine Anderson) similarly has not shared any plans to return.

Cory Monteith, Mark Salling and Naya Rivera

Three stars from the original series have died since the show ended its run on Fox in 2015. Monteith died in 2013 at age 31 from an accidental drug and alcohol overdose, five years before Salling died by suicide at age 35 in 2018. Rivera, for her part, died in an accidental drowning at age 33 in 2020. Murphy and Disney have not revealed how or if the reboot will acknowledge the actor’s deaths.
