Miranda Siwak

When Digital Writer Miranda Siwak isn’t covering the latest celebrity and entertainment news for Us Weekly, she can be found reading a good book or binge-watching her favorite CW shows from her small apartment in Murray Hill. She’s a sucker for a good chick-flick, reality show, dishy book or Broadway musical. Her book and TV lists are never-ending, from reading the latest Bachelor Nation memoir or swoon-worthy romance novel, catching up on Grey’s Anatomy or Younger, and hoping the next seasons of Bridgerton live up to the eight books they’re based on. For a dash of something different, she recently started watching every MCU flick in release date order and has steadily been making progress to finish before the next cinematic phase begins. On the off-chance she isn’t up for catching up on the latest episodes, flicks and novels, she’s likely found rewatching Gilmore Girls, Friends or a series on HGTV.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Miranda has long enjoyed covering all things entertainment and pop culture, muscles she stretched as a writer and editor for various publications, including Good Housekeeping,, Absolutely Magazines in London and The Pop Insider before she joined the Us Weekly team in June 2021. She then went on to work for The Pop Insider, where she covered geek-centric fandom news and features, even interviewing the cast and creators of Marvel’s Runaways at New York Comic-Con in 2019.

She studied journalism (with a concentration in print and online) at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina, and she graduated in December 2016.
