Hunger Games alum Leven Rambin is getting candid about the realities of being a working actor after walking away from Fire Country.

“I do have a profound sadness that this dream that I had as a little girl, I outgrew or just didn’t work out or is fading away,” Rambin, 36, said in a recent TikTok video of her up-and-down career. “All the sass and frustration [I share on my page] masks a deep grief that it’s just not what I thought it was going to be at this point as a child with a dream.”

Rambin has been acting since she was a child, scoring several roles in various hit TV shows and movies, including The Hunger Games, Grey’s Anatomy and Fire Country.. She ultimately left Fire Country ahead of season 5 to start her family. (Rambin and husband Dawson Smith have been vocal about their ongoing journey to conceive via in vitro fertilization.)

“You have to, kind of, re-evaluate your life at a certain point and be willing to let go of things,” she acknowledged in her new social media upload. “It’s really hard to face that or experience that. It’s very scary.”

Rambin continued, “Ultimately, I’ve decided that the grief is worth it because the constant feeling undervalued, unwanted and unchosen and scared is more harmful.”

Rambin, who played Audrey on Fire Country, has previously stressed that she left the CBS firefighting hit on “good terms.”

“I felt like I need[ed] to devote some time to this in my life. If I push this by another year, I’m just pushing it by another year, which doesn’t serve me at all,” she said in a July TikTok video. “So, I told them that and it’s all good. We ended on very good terms, and maybe I could pop back in one day. I just couldn’t stay because this is very important and a woman has to choose at a certain point in her life what she’s gonna focus on.”

Rambin is far from the only Fire Country star to leave ahead of season 5.

“It’s a fire show. Anyone can go at any time,” former showrunner Tia Napolitano previously told Us in October 2025 about the multiple character exits. “But in terms of losing people, we’re also adding some really fun guest cast. It’s a revolving door of people from Sharon’s past and new faces that are exciting to bring conflict and secrets and twists and turns.”
